Phu Quoc Travel Guide
Vinpearl Safari & BEST 5 Attractions
Planning a tropical getaway to Phu Quoc, Vietnam?
I recently explored this beautiful island and put together a list of the absolute best spots that made my trip unforgettable.
From Vinpearl Safari and Sunset Town to the Kiss of the Sea show, Ho Quoc Pagoda, and the Hon Thom Cable Car 🇻🇳
Here are the top 5 places you must add to your Phu Quoc itinerary!
1. Sunset Town

Sunset Town, located on the southern tip of Phu Quoc, is a gorgeous Mediterranean-themed village boasting colorful European-style architecture and stunning ocean views.

It is the perfect place to wander around, sip on a rich Vietnamese egg coffee, and do some boutique shopping. 🛍️ (Though keep in mind, prices here are slightly higher than in other parts of the island!)
+ Kiss of the Sea Show

If you are spending the evening in Sunset Town, you absolutely cannot miss the Kiss of the Sea Show.

As Phu Quoc’s signature night show, it combines a massive multi-media water fountain display, lasers, and spectacular fireworks. It is a world-class production that is well worth your time. 🎆
Quick Tip: Sitting in the center-back rows gives you the best panoramic view of the entire stage. Booking your tickets online in advance is usually much cheaper than buying them at the gate!

2. Sao Beach & Ho Quoc Pagoda

Sao Beach is one of Phu Quoc’s most famous beaches, loved for its powdery white sand and swaying palm trees.
While the water clarity can vary, it is a fantastic, wide-open beach to kick back, relax, and soak up the sun.

I paired my visit to Sao Beach with Ho Quoc Pagoda. Since it is located a bit off the beaten path and finding a return taxi can sometimes be tricky, I highly recommend booking a private driver or visiting only if you have a relaxed schedule. It is a beautiful, peaceful temple with an amazing view of the ocean—perfect for those who appreciate local culture and stunning landscapes.
3. Duong Dong Night Market

Duong Dong Night Market is the bustling heart of Phu Quoc’s nightlife. It is packed with street food stalls, fresh live seafood, and a variety of local souvenirs.
I had low expectations, but I ended up having a blast! The atmosphere is electric, the food is delicious, and the shopping is incredibly fun. If you love local markets, this is a must-visit.
4. Vinpearl Safari

Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc is Vietnam's first and largest open-air safari, offering a chance to get up close with wildlife from around the globe.

You can explore the park via the internal tram and the dedicated safari bus. It is an incredibly popular spot for both family vacations and couples looking for a fun day out.
Tip: Tickets are always cheaper when purchased online beforehand rather than at the entrance. Make sure to book your tickets in advance!

Hon Thom Cable Car (Pineapple Island)
Connecting the southern tip of Phu Quoc to Hon Thom Island, this is one of the longest over-sea cable cars in the world. It offers breathtaking 360-degree views of the turquoise ocean and scattered islands below.
Gliding over the water is a truly unique experience that you absolutely must try when visiting the island.
Make sure to add this to your Phu Quoc bucket list! 🇻🇳
