When you're planning your Phu Quoc adventure and looking for the perfect stay, it's easiest to start by deciding which region – North, Central, or South – best fits your itinerary!
To help you choose, consider dividing the island based on the main attractions you want to explore and how much time you plan to spend at your resort:
Region | Consider this for your itinerary |
North | Travelers looking to combine thrilling adventures at VinWonders, Vinpearl Safari, and Grand World with luxurious resort relaxation. |
Central | Those seeking excellent accessibility to the airport and city center, keen to explore local eateries, and indulge in a relaxing resort staycation. |
South | Travelers eager to explore southern attractions like Hon Thom Island while still enjoying a luxurious resort getaway. |
After exploring the wonders of the North, I decided to move my base to the Central region. It’s super convenient, being close to the airport and a great spot for quick trips to Sonasea!
And my choice for a true resort escape (or 'hocance', as we call it) was none other than the stunning Pullman Phu Quoc Beach Resort.

My child and I spent a wonderful one-night, two-day stay in a Deluxe King Room. What really stood out and left us absolutely delighted were the spacious swimming pool, the magical night swimming, and the fantastic breakfast!
Let's dive into the full details of our room, the incredible pool, and our breakfast experience!

2. Pullman Phu Quoc Resort: Price Comparison

When it comes to booking a resort, while room quality is definitely key, the price is certainly something we can't overlook!
Even when booking the Deluxe King Room that I enjoyed, it’s always a good idea to compare options that include specific views and breakfast arrangements.

So, where can you snag the best deal for the very same room?
Even for identical dates and room types, the final price can vary significantly depending on the platform's unique discounts and promotions.

Yeogi Eottae | Trip.com | Agoda |
~$259 | ~$290 | ~$291 |
On the date I checked, Yeogi Eottae offered the most competitive price among all the platforms I compared.

3. Deluxe King Room Review: Our Stay with a Child

The room we opted for this time was the Deluxe King Room.

The king-sized bed was impressively spacious, making it **perfectly comfortable for sharing with my child**. Of course, comfort can vary depending on how many people are sleeping together and your child's specific sleeping style, so please consider our experience as a helpful guide!

From our room, we had a lovely view of the resort's swimming pool.

Having the sparkling pool right outside our window truly enhanced that luxurious 'resort' feeling. For an itinerary like ours, where we planned to spend a good amount of time relaxing at the accommodation, this delightful view was an absolute bonus!
However, I'll mention that the bathroom layout might be a matter of personal preference.

While it features an open-concept design where the bedroom and bathroom aren't entirely separated, it's worth noting that the actual showering area is distinct and enclosed, not fully exposed.

Just looking at the bathroom's design, I did feel it might be a bit more suited for a romantic couples' getaway than a family trip.
However, drawing the curtains effectively separated the space, ensuring our privacy throughout our stay!

And blue bath salts were prepared by the bathtub, making me eager to enjoy a relaxing half-body bath.

The amenities were from C.O. Bigelow's Elixir White line, including shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and lotion, which I made good use of!
Overall, the bed size and pool view were satisfying, but if you prefer a separate bathroom structure, I recommend checking the room photos before booking.
4. Spacious Pool and Night Swims

The absolute standout facility at Pullman Phu Quoc Resort, for me, was the incredible pool!
The pool itself was so spacious that I could enjoy a relaxed swim, and it was especially great for night swimming.

It was wonderful to swim under the Phu Quoc sun by day, then enjoy a completely different vibe for an evening dip!
The front part of the pool was shallow, making it perfect for kids, but if you go further in, the deepest part was 1.40 meters (about 4.6 feet).
At the pool bar, you can also enjoy Pullman's famous mango bingsu (shaved ice dessert), which can be ordered until 6 PM at the bar, and then afterward in the lobby.

One fantastic feature about Pullman is the water play area that kids absolutely adore – definitely a must-enjoy during the day!

A private beach also stretches out in front of the resort, and if you head downstairs next to the beachside cafe, you'll find showers.

I deliberately made sure that on the days I stayed at Pullman, I spent all my time within the hotel after checking in, to fully immerse myself in the resort experience.
5. Pullman Resort Breakfast and On-site Restaurants
When staying at a resort with kids, breakfast is key, isn't it?
Pullman Resort's breakfast offered a wide variety of breads and many other dishes.
But what I enjoyed the most was definitely the mangoes.

Staff members meticulously prepared and served the mangoes fresh on the spot.
It was a very popular item here, and I truly indulged in as many mangoes as my heart desired!
And during this stay, instead of venturing out to explore external restaurants, I opted to dine at the Mad Cow restaurant, conveniently located right within the resort.

The views were spectacular, and the food was quite good too.
However, as a hotel restaurant, it's definitely on the pricier side compared to local eateries.
6. Pullman Resort Location and What to Know Before You Book

Pullman Resort is located in the central part of Phu Quoc, making it super accessible from the airport, just about a 10-15 minute drive by car.
It's situated close to the Sonasea area,
and about a 5-minute drive from Sonasea Market.
It's a bit too far for a comfortable walk, so I highly recommend grabbing a Grab!

The resort also operates a shuttle bus service to the airport and certain other areas.
So, who would absolutely love Pullman Phu Quoc Resort?
I'd wholeheartedly recommend it to those who prioritize quality time spent at the resort, rather than travelers who spend all day out sightseeing.
You get to enjoy the spacious pool and incredible night swimming, plus fantastic breakfast and convenient on-site restaurants.
Even now, after my 1-night, 2-day stay, I can't stop thinking about the pool, those magical night swims, the delicious mangoes at breakfast, and the refreshing mango bingsu I enjoyed in the lobby.
If your itinerary involves splashing around with kids and truly unwinding within the resort, just like mine, then Pullman is absolutely worth considering.
