Shuttle Bus

When you step out like this,

you'll see many shuttle bus or pickup counters for services like Phu Quoc Ghost, Peak Time, Interpark, and more.

There were also many people holding signs with hotel names.

From Phu Quoc Airport to Pullman Resort,

there's a free shuttle bus, which I pre-booked through Agoda.

I scheduled it for 11 PM.

Upon exiting Phu Quoc Airport,

a staff member holding a Pullman Hotel sign

asked for my name

and checked my reservation.

I'm not sure why the shuttle bus was late,

but they said it would be about 15 minutes late.

They kept apologizing profusely, asking me to wait.

They were extremely sorry. ​

Eventually, the shuttle bus arrived,

and we drove for about 15 minutes down a dark road at night.

It felt very rural and desolate, with no buildings in sight.

I was tired and wondered if I'd come to the wrong place.

That thought crossed my mind for a moment,

but when morning broke and I saw the scenery,

all those worries completely vanished!

The hotel is grand and luxurious.

Price

I booked an ocean view room on Agoda for ~$117 per night.

This is the reception area.

Deposit

There was a deposit.

They said it wasn't possible to pay it in Vietnamese Dong,

but USD was acceptable.

I just used my card for the deposit,

and received a cancellation receipt on the last day.

For expenses incurred at the hotel,

such as at Mad Cow restaurant or the beverage bar,

after using them,

I just stated my room number and signed.

At checkout, I paid the total in Vietnamese Dong.

There's The Lighthouse bar in the lobby,

and they sell their most famous (?) Mango Bingsu here!

I had it twice here!

Kids Club

1st Floor: Pullman Spa, Meeting Rooms

2nd-8th Floors: Guest Rooms

9th Floor: Mad Cow Restaurant

Breakfast is served here on the Ground and 1st floors.

The menu is diverse and changes slightly every day.

Pullman is known for its breakfast, and

specifically for the

mangoes served at breakfast!!

Vietnam can be quite humid, but

the room was surprisingly cool

when we kept the ceiling fan on.

When you press the button,

the curtains automatically open,

revealing the stunning view!

Room

There's cola and water available.

A bottle of cola costs about ~$3.

Slippers were available, but I didn't end up using them.

They even had a separate washbasin,

and a lighted mirror, which was a nice touch!

The interior is super spacious!

Though I did notice a few spots that weren't perfectly cleaned.

The TV offered channels like

NHK,

KBS,

and even BBC!

The evening view? Absolutely gorgeous like this!

And it's even more stunning during the day!

Even though I was a bit disappointed last night, it's just so beautiful 😍

Phu Quoc typically sees its rainy season from May to October,

but from August 21st to 24th, the weather was absolutely glorious!

The clouds from our ocean view were truly magnificent.

And they felt so close, almost like you could reach out and touch them!

The view itself was simply breathtaking,

and with such a spacious room,

it truly made for an amazing stay at Pullman Beach Resort.
