You can't talk about Phu Quoc without mentioning KingKong Mart!

It has grown significantly in size in recent years,

making a full lap quite the workout.

After a shopping spree at KingKong Mart, I decided to take a break

at KingKong Coffee, located right across the street.

Armed with the 20% discount coupon from the mart,

I settled down in a cool spot to enjoy some coffee and dessert.

KingKong Coffee is conveniently located right in front of Duong Dong KingKong Mart.

The branch I visited was a two-story establishment,

but note that there are a total of three locations:

one right next door and another inside the mart itself.

It seems they're building a KingKong empire!

Interior Ambiance & Menu

The branch I visited was spread across two floors,

and both the first and second floors felt quite spacious.

I expected it to be full of tourists, but it's clearly a popular spot

with locals too, which is always a good sign.

During my visit, the atmosphere was generally quiet,

and I even saw some study groups.

The second floor also features a small outdoor terrace seating area,

so if it's not too hot, you can enjoy your coffee outdoors!

The view? Mostly the road in front of KingKong Mart, but it's a bustling street.

Beyond just coffee, they offer a surprisingly diverse menu including

fruit juices, smoothies, matcha drinks, ice cream, and even shaved ice.

The menu also includes English, making it easy to see what drinks are available.

In addition to beverages, they have simple desserts like croissants

and cupcakes.

They also sell KingKong Coffee's own beans and traditional Vietnamese phin filters,

which would make for excellent Phu Quoc souvenirs.

For my drink, I wanted to sample KingKong Coffee's own blend,

so I ordered an Iced Americano.

And since I'd heard good things about the Mango Danish, I decided to try it,

along with a Mango Cake.

The Iced Americano was a bit light for my taste.

However, it wasn't overly acidic (though not entirely absent),

and it paired nicely with the sweet desserts.

The Mango Cake had a mango jam topping over cream,

and it was just an average, pleasant taste.

But the Mango Danish? That was the highlight!

It absolutely lived up to the hype, and it looked beautiful too.

The fresh mango and creamy custard blended perfectly,

and the Danish had a delightful texture.

KingKong Coffee proved to be an ideal spot to unwind

after finishing up my shopping at KingKong Mart.

Its convenient location and cool, air-conditioned interior were a blessing.
