we hailed a Grab
and headed to Khem Beach,
which was about a 15-minute drive away.
The taxi fare was about ~$6.

I looked for a place that was close,
had beautiful beaches,
and clear waters.

With countless palm trees,
it's bursting with an exotic vibe!
Since I had to return to Korea,
I couldn't visit at night, but I imagine when the lights come on,
it must be incredibly beautiful and atmospheric.
Originally, I planned to stay in the south,
at the JW Marriott on Khem Beach.
But I ended up at Pullman,
and let me tell you, the beach here at Khem is so much clearer
than the one at Pullman in the central area!
The water is full of fry and fish!
There are even jellyfish.
While some beaches in Phu Quoc
don't manage their waste very well,
Khem Beach is quite well-maintained.
People were enjoying activities like surfing, paddleboarding,
and kayaking.
These are likely offered by JW Marriott or other resorts...
Guests can borrow them for free!
It wasn't crowded at all,
making it wonderfully peaceful.
Though a few jet skis zipped by,
creating just a little lively buzz,
You can even spot Premier Village from here!

We've arrived at Draft Beer Bai Khem Phu Quoc!
It's quite popular, with many Korean travelers here too.
While the reviews weren't overwhelmingly stellar,
we were drawn to the outdoor seating,
and since we could enjoy the ocean view, we decided to just grab some refreshing juice!
We snagged an outdoor table,
soaking in those stunning ocean views!
We kept it simple, just enjoying a delicious pineapple juice (79,000 VND, ~$3)
and a zesty lemonade.
They serve up delicious seafood dishes,
and you can also enjoy a variety of alcoholic beverages,
from beer to cocktails!
And that pineapple juice? It's actually really good!
Look at these incredible clouds I spotted on the taxi ride back!
Even though it's the rainy season, the weather has been absolutely perfect.
