In my case, the weather was great during my trip,

so I spontaneously decided to explore the south.

I ended up purchasing my tickets through a Grab taxi driver

(bought directly from a local ticket booth).

I had no idea if buying locally was cheaper,

but it seemed more affordable than purchasing at the station, so that's how I got mine.

When I bought the tickets, I could also use a drink coupon.

The station exterior is so vast that

you can just follow where people are going, LOL.

The interior was also incredibly spacious!

While cable car tickets can be purchased on-site,

the prices are higher, so I highly recommend buying QR tickets in advance!!

Based on the cable car's direction of travel,

you should sit in the very front or very back window seats

to capture amazing life shots of Sunset Town's colorful buildings

and the emerald sea.

Even though it was crowded and I couldn't get a prime seat,

I still managed to snap some photos along the way.

There's no air conditioning, but cool breezes flow through the windows,

keeping it comfortable and steady.

With beautiful weather and stunning seas,

this cable car ride is pure healing just by looking at it.

After getting off the cable car and passing through the subtropical garden,

you'll find Aquatopia Water Park, the largest of its kind in Southeast Asia.

It's designed with jungle and ocean themes,

so photos turn out great no matter where you snap them.

There are also plenty of restaurants and attractions scattered around,

making it perfect for families with kids.

Even from a distance, they get your heart racing! 👏

Phu Quoc Hon Thom Island Water Park

has such a wide variety of rides that even adults

will find tons to enjoy!

Unlike domestic water parks, the waiting times were incredibly short,

around 5-10 minutes, which meant we could ride popular slides

consecutively – that was the biggest advantage.

So, even after trying all the rides, there was still plenty of time left,

and I rode the fun ones two or three more times 😎

I also rode a water slide with an absolutely insane angle,

and it was genuinely super fun, so you definitely have to try it...

(if you love thrills!)

Personally, among all the rides,

this one was the most thrilling and enjoyable! ✌️

Phu Quoc Hon Thom Island Waterpark - Dress Code & Item Pro Tips

⭐ When riding attractions, it's just your bare body!!!

(Strictly follow the dress code)

I climbed all those stairs, excited for a ride, only to be stopped because my waterproof pouch and aqua shoes weren't allowed 😩

(The safety regulations are strict, so keep that in mind!)

Each ride has a shoe rack near the entrance,

so just take off your shoes there and enjoy the ride barefoot.

You can't even carry your phone, so I put all my belongings in a locker,

enjoyed the rides, and then retrieved my cash and phone from the locker room when I needed a break.

If you're not riding the big attractions and just enjoying the wave pool or

the lazy river with a tube, then you're fine.

After all that fun, you really work up an appetite!

We headed to a restaurant where a lot of people were gathered.

Pizza and beer? That combination can't possibly go wrong,

so we immediately ordered draft beer and pizza! 😋

Maybe it was because we ate right after all the water fun,

but even if it just looks okay, that pizza and beer combo was delicious! 🤣

Beyond pizza, they also sell a variety of other dishes,

so everyone, young and old, can find something to enjoy.

Shower Room Condition

While there are plenty of shower stalls, hot water might not always be available. So, after your water play, I recommend just a quick rinse here and then heading back to your accommodation for a proper shower (seems to be the case when it's crowded...).

The cable car ride back from Hon Thom Island was just as stable and comfortable.

As we approached the destination, the views became truly stunning.

The colorful buildings came into view, and they were so beautiful that I just kept snapping photos! 🤣

Upon arrival, a beautiful sunset unfolded as the sun began to set –

it was so captivating, I just stood there admiring it for a long while.

You can even spot the distant bridge structure (Kiss Bridge).

And for those who want to catch it, the 'Kiss of the Sea' show, which begins after sunset and into the night, also takes place here –

My travel itinerary was quite tight, so I only visited the South as a day trip.

However, if you've booked your accommodation in the South or

have a more relaxed schedule, it's perfect for enjoying late into the night,

so I highly recommend it!!
