When I first visited Phu Quoc, it was my very first Southeast Asian adventure, so I opted for a 3-night, 5-day package tour. 5-Star Hotel Experience

Accommodation is typically at a 5-star Sol by Meliá Resort or a similar luxury property. During my stay at Sol Beach House Phu Quoc by Meliá, I loved how I could walk straight from the pool area to the beach. The peaceful, relaxing atmosphere was absolutely perfect for a getaway.

Hon Thom Island & Sunset Town Adventures

The Hon Thom Island cable car ride was definitely one of the most memorable parts of my trip. The views over the ocean were stunning! Once on Hon Thom Island, we had about 5 hours of free time, which was plenty to enjoy the water park and relax on the beautiful beach.

We also had about 3 hours of free time in Sunset Town. The vibrant, colorful buildings made for fantastic photo opportunities, and the Kiss Bridge, in particular, had an incredibly romantic vibe as the sun began to set.

Seamless Guided Bus Transfers

Upon arrival at the airport, our local guide was easy to spot, holding a sign with our names. Communication in English was clear and straightforward, and the bus seats were spacious, making the transfers between attractions feel like a comfortable mini-break.

Shopping & Important Considerations

During my visit, there were two shopping centers, and we spent about an hour at each, totaling two hours. This might be a drawback if you're not interested in shopping. Also, be sure to review the cancellation policies carefully, as separate cancellation fees may apply once your flights and hotel are confirmed.

A package tour is a fantastic choice if it's your first time in Phu Quoc, you're traveling with family (parents or kids), or you simply want to avoid the hassle of arranging flights, hotels, and transportation separately. Conversely, if you prefer to explore freely without mandatory shopping stops, a flight+hotel (airtel) option might be a better fit for your travel style.
