While searching for the perfect place to stay in Lisbon, exploring hotels, Airbnbs, and various options, we finally settled on the famous 'Ronaldo hotel' in Lisbon:

World-famous football legend Cristiano Ronaldo opened his second hotel in his home country, Portugal, right in the capital city of Lisbon, bearing his own name.

The Pestana CR7 Lisboa, a collaboration between the Pestana Hotel Group and Ronaldo (using his name and jersey number), is a 4-star hotel built with an investment of approximately ~$13,500,000 and features 82 guest rooms.

My husband is a huge football fanatic, so when he suggested we absolutely had to stay at one of Ronaldo's hotels, especially for our honeymoon, it was an easy 'yes!'

Thanks to him, our Lisbon accommodation decision was made in a flash!

The Pestana CR7 Lisboa hotel boasts an absolutely unbeatable Lisbon location.

First off, the hotel is situated on flat ground, which made it incredibly easy to manage our luggage without having to haul it up and down Lisbon's famous hills.

As you can see on Google Maps, Lisbon Cathedral is just a short walk away, and the subway station is incredibly close, too.

Being able to walk to Lisbon Cathedral was a huge plus, showcasing just how fantastic this location truly is!

After dropping our bags at the hotel, we stepped outside and, after just a few steps, found ourselves right in the main square!

The subway station is immediately to the left of the main square, and trams run right through the middle, making getting around Lisbon an absolute breeze.

During our visit in early to mid-December, there was a massive, majestic Christmas tree in the square. It was always bustling with people at night, perfect for snapping some festive photos.

The best part? Beyond the square is the ocean, making a seaside stroll incredibly easy and convenient.

The 'M' symbol near the ocean is the subway entrance, so catching a train was a matter of just a few minutes' walk.

We even used the subway to catch a football match while in Lisbon, and the hotel's proximity made it super convenient.

With tram and bus stops also located in the large square near the subway entrance, exploring Lisbon's many attractions was simple and stress-free.

Personally, this was one of the most conveniently located and comfortable hotels we stayed at during our entire Portugal and Spain trip.

We compared several hotel booking sites to find the best price, and after checking a few, Agoda consistently offered the lowest rates, so we booked through them.

Considering it's a 4-star hotel and we stayed over a weekend, it was still a great deal. We managed to snag a room for around ~$135 per night! (Booking in advance likely helped secure this better rate).

Book Pestana CR7 Lisboa Hotel in Lisbon

We stayed at Pestana CR7 Lisboa for three nights, from Saturday to Tuesday, including the weekend.

When traveling in Europe, we tend to spend most of our time outside, so a super luxurious room isn't a top priority. We opted for a standard room.

The room size wasn't huge, but it was perfectly comfortable for two people.

Cristiano Ronaldo's Lisbon hotel, Pestana CR7 Lisboa, was very easy to find thanks to its location on flat ground.

The entrance is clearly marked with the Pestana CR7 logo.

Upon entering, there were tables to the right, which appeared to be the breakfast area.

Welcome tea was also available, perfect for a quick sip of water.

The front desk was conveniently located right in front.

Although there was only one staff member, the hotel wasn't overly crowded, so we didn't have to wait to check in or check out.

The staff member was incredibly friendly, which made a lasting impression.

After checking in, we headed to our assigned room, number 505.

The long hallway had rooms on both sides.

Upon entering the room, there was a designated space for luggage immediately visible, with the wardrobe right next to it.

Inside the wardrobe, we found a safe, a coffee maker, bathrobes, and a mini-fridge.

We had to search a bit for tissues, but eventually found them!

They were tucked away in the middle drawer on the right side of the wardrobe, alongside a laundry service bag.

The room size, as expected from our booking, wasn't huge, but it had everything we needed, so it was perfectly fine.

We had requested either one double bed or two single beds, and we ended up with two single beds. No problem though, as they were pushed together, and honestly, having two singles made for a more comfortable night's sleep!

There were nightstands or small desks on either side of the bed, which were great for placing items and ensured charging devices was a breeze.

In front of the bed, there was a wall-mounted TV and a small round table with chairs.

This was perfect for enjoying a light snack or a drink.

The bathroom at the Pestana CR7 Lisboa hotel featured a sink and toilet, with a separate shower stall.

Two large towels, two small towels, and a hand towel were provided, along with hand wash, shampoo, and body wash.

The spacious vanity was ideal for organizing our toothbrushes, toothpaste, and cleansing products.

The conditioner and body lotion, provided in individual bottles, felt very hygienic, and there was more than enough for our three-night stay.

The absolute best part of our stay at Pestana CR7 Lisboa was undoubtedly its incredible location!

It's so close to the ocean-view square, Lisbon Cathedral, and the subway station.

If you're planning a trip to Lisbon and weighing your accommodation options, I highly recommend the Pestana CR7 Lisboa hotel.
