Parata Air Da Nang Flight Review 2026: Online Check-in & Seats

For my latest trip to Da Nang, I flew with Parata Air, and it turns out, it's actually a Korean airline! The name 'Parata' is a playful nod to the Korean word for 'blue,' hinting at blue skies ahead. Before rebranding, they were known as Fly Yangyang and Fly Gangwon.

As it was my first time flying with this low-cost carrier, I admit I had a tiny bit of apprehension. However, the incredibly affordable price sealed the deal, and I booked without hesitation.

A one-way ticket for just ~$109! Pretty sweet, right? The challenge was that return flights from Da Nang hovered around ~$276 across all airlines. To keep costs down, I looked into domestic flights to Ho Chi Minh or Hanoi for the return leg. While most were still over ~$276, I discovered Phu Quoc offered one-way return flights for as low as ~$69! So, my final itinerary became Da Nang to Phu Quoc with Vietjet for ~$69, and then Phu Quoc to Incheon Airport for ~$104.

Online Check-in

Parata Air sends out helpful notifications via messaging apps. For international flights, online check-in is open from 24 hours to 2 hours before departure. It’s always best to select your seats in advance for peace of mind.

After confirming my passport details, I proceeded to seat selection.

As expected, the front seats were already fully booked. The cabin layout was 2-4-2, indicating a surprisingly large aircraft!

Window seats, especially those in pairs, are snapped up quickly. Only middle seats were left in the forward sections.

More seats were available towards the back of the plane.

The red seats indicated premium, paid-for options that couldn't be selected online. These can be purchased at the airport for an extra fee. The big advantage is the extra legroom, but there's a slight catch...

You'll be facing the cabin crew directly during the flight! Haha, that could be a bit awkward.

Check-in Process

I arrived at Incheon Airport three hours before my flight. Parata Air offers different check-in lanes: Comfort Zone, Priority Check-in, and Business Smart.

Here were the upgrade costs. A Comfort to Business Smart seat upgrade (with a special airport promotion until June 30, 2026): Japan routes cost ~$69, while Vietnam routes were ~$138.

Beyond Business Smart, you can also purchase Comfort Plus, Front Row, and Emergency Exit row seats. For shorter flights to Japan, it might not be a huge benefit, but for a 5+ hour journey to Vietnam, I think it's definitely worth considering.

Wow, perhaps because it's a larger aircraft, the seats felt quite spacious. Usually, on smaller planes, my knees are practically touching the seat in front of me.

I was genuinely surprised by the ample legroom. You can tell by my expression, right?

We arrived safely in Da Nang. The flight departed and arrived on time, and I experienced no particular discomfort.

You can often find round-trip Da Nang flights with low-cost carriers for around ~$276. While airlines like Eastar Jet and Air Seoul are options, their late arrival times felt a bit inconvenient for me. I'm glad I chose Parata Air.
