An unmissable highlight on any Rome, Italy trip: the Pantheon!
During the day, with scorching temperatures nearing 40 degrees Celsius,
it's easy to get exhausted quickly even after a short walk 🥹
To help you enjoy the Pantheon while avoiding this intense heat,
the Pantheon will open at night for the first time throughout August 2026!
Today, I'll cover everything from how to book tickets for the Pantheon's night opening
to how to experience it with a Korean audio guide during the day.

Located in the heart of Rome, the Pantheon
is a renowned landmark attracting countless travelers daily.
Meaning "temple of all gods," the Pantheon was
originally built in 27 BC by Agrippa to honor the Olympian gods.
Although it was rebuilt after a fire,
its grand entrance and stone dome
are said to maintain their ancient original form.

The Ocululus, with its open center in the ceiling, was even praised by Michelangelo as "the design of angels." Based on the principle of air pressure, it incorporates an architectural method where rainwater barely enters the interior even when it rains. |
2. How to Book August Night Opening Tickets
This night opening is a pilot operation being implemented for the first time,
and will operate until 23:00 throughout August (closed Thursdays).

How to Book Tickets on the Official Website
1. Access the Official Booking Site
SPECIAL EVENING OPENINGS IN AUGUST
Select the Menu
2. Select Your Date and Time
Since the calendar starts on Monday,
please be careful when choosing the day!
(Last entry 22:20)
3. Choose the Number of People
The general admission fee is 7 euros.
(Under 18s are free)
4. Book as a Guest
If you'd rather skip the hassle of signing up (..),
simply click on Book as a Guest.
5. Enter Your Information
Please accurately enter your English first name, last name, and email twice.
Even after entering the security code,
please enter your email twice again.
6. Proceed to Payment
Select Carta di debito o credito (Credit/Debit Card)
and proceed with your payment.
* Apple Pay/PayPal will incur an additional 1.5 euro fee.
Card payment recommended!
3. Booking Standard Tickets
If evening tickets are sold out,
or if you prefer to visit during the day with explanations,
a ticket that includes admission and a Korean audio guide
is highly recommended.

4. Inside the Pantheon: My Visit Review
Stepping inside, past the magnificent bronze doors,
the light beams streaming through the oculus
create an absolutely magical atmosphere.
If you visit during the day, you can experience the light changing
throughout the hours, which is why I personally recommend a daytime visit.
This is where the painter Raphael (1483-1520),
who died prematurely at the age of 37, wished to be buried.
Above his tomb, the 'Madonna del Sasso' sculpture, commissioned by Raphael himself from his disciple,
guards the resting place.
You can also find the tomb of the Father of Italy,
Victor Emmanuel II (1820-1878), who unified the country.
While strong sunlight bathes the interior during the day,
I'm curious what kind of scenery unfolds under the moonlight at night.

General admission is 7 EUR, and entry is free for those under 18. To book entry tickets only, use the official website. For tickets including an audio guide, GetYourGuide offers a more affordable option.
Credit/debit card payments are recommended on the official website. An additional fee of 1.5 EUR will be charged if paying with Apple Pay or PayPal.
If you wish to visit during the day with a Korean audio guide, you can book tickets through Klook. After booking, you can listen to the audio guide via the 🎧Vox City app.
Inside the Pantheon, you can find the tomb of the painter Raphael, who died prematurely at the age of 37. You can also see the tomb of Vittorio Emanuele II, the Father of Italy who unified the country.
