Unito Namba Motomachi: Osaka Family Stays with Kitchens
Traveling to Osaka with family? Unito Namba Motomachi offers spacious, budget-friendly stays with full kitchens and laundry, perfect for your 2026 trip.
Osaka, Japan, after a long time!
It really struck me how many families visit here, even more so than in other parts of Japan!
Finding the right hotel can be a real headache, right?!
Booking two rooms for two people each can really drive up the cost,
and traditional hotels can feel so cramped and uncomfortable....
That's why Bamkki, after staying 3 nights in Osaka,
is here to recommend an amazing place that solves all those worries!
Unito Hotel Residence Namba Motomachi
Cooking Facilities + Washing Machine + Spacious Rooms
It can accommodate 3-4 people, and it's fantastic value for money!
For families of 4 looking for accommodation in Osaka,
keep reading to the end 👇👇

1. Why I Chose Unito Residence
① A Clean, Newly Built Residence with a Work-cation Vibe
Actually, this is Bamkki's third time staying at a Unito Residence!
I've already checked out two branches in Tokyo 😗
I always pick their clean, newly built residences, which offer the best of both Airbnb and hotels.
And they're steadily expanding with more branches across Japan.

② Great Value for Money
The Unito Residence in Osaka
is about a 20-minute walk from Namba Station,
so it might seem a bit further than other hotels.
But because it's not right next to the station, you save on that 'prime location' premium, making it much more affordable.
Bamkki stayed 3 nights in early June for ~$118 😝

That was quite a low price at the time,
and for October-November, it seems to be around ~$74?
Prices can vary depending on your travel dates and booking platform,
so make sure to check your travel dates first!

But just because it's not right by the station doesn't mean sightseeing is inconvenient at all!
· Namba Parks: 10-minute walk
· Yasaka Shrine: 1-minute walk
Namba Station and Dotonbori are a 20-minute walk,
but when you're traveling and constantly exploring on foot,
you quickly get used to distances like that 🤣🤣🤣
2. A Japanese Hotel... with a Spacious Room?!
Japanese hotels are famously tiny, aren't they?
But at the Unito Residence in Osaka, you'll have plenty of space even with your suitcase wide open!

It's designed like a typical officetel (office-apartment hybrid) you'd often see in Korea.
As you enter, there's a long hallway with the kitchen and bathroom on either side.
The room is situated further inside, a really practical layout.

There's even a large wardrobe with plenty of hangers,
so I could easily hang up all the clothes I brought,
and it was also the perfect size to store a carry-on suitcase.

The bathroom also had a separate toilet area,
a dry vanity area, and a separate shower and bathtub.
This allowed for much more comfortable use than a standard hotel bathroom.
There was absolutely no feeling of cramped space or awkward movement within the room!
For anyone who hates the stuffy feeling of small Japanese hotels,
this hotel comes highly recommended ★
3. An Osaka Hotel for Long Stays, Complete with Cooking and Laundry Facilities
This is Unito's secret weapon:
Because it's a residence, not just a hotel,
each room comes with cooking facilities and a washing machine.
This is absolutely perfect for summer trips or longer stays.
Being able to do laundry during your trip means you can pack fewer clothes,
and for families with kids, laundry is almost guaranteed,
so having a washing machine is incredibly convenient 😆

But, unbelievably, even though I took 5 photos of the bathroom,
I didn't take a single picture of the kitchen or the washing machine ㅡㅡ
The washing machine is located right inside a cabinet, just past the entrance where you take off your shoes!
When you check in, they'll give you a link to a manual with instructions,
so you can refer to it and easily do your laundry.

They even provide laundry detergent for free in the lobby,
so not having to pack it is an absolute lifesaver... ⭐
4. Perfect Accommodation in Osaka for 3 or 4 People
When you're planning a trip to Japan with family or a group of friends,
deciding on the right room capacity can be a real dilemma.
The Double Room that I, Bamkki, stayed in accommodates up to 3 people,
and the Family Room can host up to 4.

The Semi-Double Room comes with a double bed and a sofa bed,
so one person can comfortably sleep on the sofa bed.

Similarly, the Family Room has a double bed
and a larger sofa bed, accommodating a total of 4 guests.
No need to book multiple rooms –
one room does it all!
This way, you save on accommodation costs and get to stay together, which is pretty awesome, right?
Since there are fewer Family Rooms than Semi-Double Rooms,
make sure to check availability for your travel dates in advance!
