Osaka Flight Comparison 2026: Finding the Best Deals with Baggage
Planning your Osaka trip for 2026? Don't just chase the lowest fare! Discover insider tips for comparing round-trip flights, including checked baggage and ideal timings for a perfect short getaway.

When I was looking for Osaka flights,
I didn't just look for the absolute lowest price.
When you find a Japanese flight that seems cheap and check it out,
checked baggage is often missing
or the departure time is incredibly late, which is quite a bummer.

Especially for Osaka,
after arriving at Kansai Airport,
you still have to travel all the way to the city center, right?
For a 2-night, 3-day trip,
arriving late at night feels like you barely get to use your first day.
So, even if the price goes up a bit,
I tend to consider both baggage and flight times together.

That's why this time,
for a 2-night, 3-day itinerary in November, covering both weekdays and weekends,
I compared the absolute lowest price, the lowest price including checked baggage,
and even the flight times I would personally choose.
Let's dive into the comparisons!
1. November Round-Trip Flights

For weekdays,
I looked at flights departing on Tuesday, November 17th,
and returning on Thursday, November 19th.
For weekends,
I checked flights departing on Friday, November 20th,
and returning on Sunday, November 22nd.
These comparisons are for one adult,
on a round trip from Incheon to Osaka.
Weekday Round-Trip Flight Comparison Chart
| Lowest Price | Lowest Price (Incl. Baggage) | My Preferred Option |
Departure Time | 9:55 → 11:55 | 20:40 → 22:25 | 8:55 → 10:45 |
Return Time | 11:50 → 13:50 | 11:05 → 13:10 | 12:55 → 14:55 |
Checked Baggage | None | 15kg | 15kg |
Round-Trip Price | ~$157 | ~$164 | ~$227 |
Weekend Round-Trip Flight Comparison Chart
| Lowest Price | Lowest Price (Incl. Baggage) | My Preferred Option |

2. Lowest Price vs. Baggage
Just looking at the weekday flights,
at first, the ~$157 fare really caught my eye! Haha.
The timing seemed pretty good too.
With a 9:55 AM departure,
you could arrive in Osaka before lunch.

But upon closer inspection,
it turned out there was no checked baggage included!
For the same flight times,
the fare including 15kg of checked baggage
jumped up to ~$223.

If you're someone who packs really light for a trip to Japan,
then the lowest price without baggage
could definitely be a great option.
But isn't Japan the place where you go all out on shopping?!
When I travel to Japan,
my luggage tends to grow on the way back,
so checked baggage is pretty important to me, haha!
3. Choosing Your Flight Times

Then you might think,
"Why not just choose the lowest price with baggage included?"
But this time,
the flight times were the problem, haha!
The lowest price for weekdays with baggage included
was a round trip of ~$164, but...
departure from Incheon was at 8:40 PM,
and arrival in Osaka was at 10:25 PM....!!

Considering the time it would take
to travel from Kansai Airport to the accommodation,
the first day of a 2-night, 3-day trip
would pretty much be over just with travel. ㅠㅠ
So, if it were me,
I'd choose a flight departing at 8:55 AM,
arriving in Osaka at 10:45 AM,
and a return flight departing at 12:55 PM,
for a combination costing ~$227.

Plus, 15kg of round-trip checked baggage is included.
For shorter trips,
I personally feel that the actual time I can spend at the destination
is more valuable than a difference of a few tens of dollars in airfare.
4. Weekend Prices

I checked for weekend prices too,
and when I chose flight times that I'd actually consider taking,
the price was almost ~$370, haha...!!
(I was a bit flustered looking up the flights....)
Departing Incheon at 10:15 AM,
arriving in Osaka at 12:05 PM,
and the return flight departing at 12:00 PM –
the flight times themselves were appealing.

But a round trip of ~$370....!!
If it were me, at that price,
I probably wouldn't bother going on a weekend, haha!
If possible, I'd even use a vacation day and
try to switch the dates to a weekday schedule.

There was also a lowest-price weekend combination with baggage included
at ~$330, but...
the return flight departed at 11:25 PM,
meaning arrival in Incheon would be at 1:40 AM the next day.

While it's great to extend the last day in Osaka,
thinking about getting home after arriving back in Korea,
it felt like a bit too much of a burden for me.
(Especially for someone like me who lives outside the capital region... ㅠㅠ)
Ultimately, with airline tickets,
cheaper isn't always better,
and arriving back late isn't always ideal either.
5. Trip.com Discount Code

Once you've picked your flights,
it's time to grab a discount code, right? haha!
Honestly, this is the most important part!!!
Go through the Trip.com affiliate link and,
during the flight payment stage,
3HAFLT3
enter the code to get a 3% discount.

There's no minimum payment amount,
and the maximum discount is ~$9.
For the ~$227 flight
I'd likely choose on a weekday,
if the discount code is applied correctly,
3% (which is ~$7) will be discounted,
making the total approximately ~$221.

6. Checked Baggage
Looking at these Osaka flight tickets,
it's clear that for Japan, you definitely need to pay attention to baggage!
Even for flights at the same time,
It's amazing how much the price can vary
depending on whether you're traveling with checked luggage or just a carry-on.

I know the feeling – my bags always seem to multiply
on the way back than on the way there,
so I always check the round-trip baggage conditions upfront.
Here's a pro tip: some tickets might only include checked baggage
for the return journey, not the outbound.
So, don't just see 'baggage included' and assume it covers both ways –
always double-check the conditions for each leg of your flight!
Especially if you're planning to shop 'til you drop in Osaka! 😉

So, before you finalize your booking, make sure to

9. My Personal Pick
If I were planning a 2-night, 3-day weekday trip in November,
I’d likely opt for the ~$227 combination rather than the absolute lowest fare of ~$157.
Why? Because it includes a generous 15kg of checked luggage
and departs on an early morning flight,
meaning I can hit the ground running and maximize my first day exploring Osaka!
Weekends, on the other hand?
When I checked my preferred timings,
the price shot up to nearly ~$370,
so I'd seriously consider adjusting my travel dates – sometimes flexibility pays off big time! 😉

Ultimately, when I'm searching for Osaka flights,
I compare them by: Price → Checked Baggage → Departure/Arrival Times
in that exact order.
Instead of just grabbing the absolute cheapest ticket,
take a moment to weigh everything: Is the departure/arrival time actually workable for your schedule?
Will you need to add extra baggage?
And most importantly, how many precious days will you truly get to spend exploring Osaka?
Comparing all these factors together will lead you to the perfect flight! 😊
And for that cherry on top,
don't forget to apply the Trip.com discount code at checkout!
