Sushiro Shinsaibashi: Affordable Family Sushi in Osaka
Searching for a family-friendly meal while shopping in Osaka's Shinsaibashi? Sushiro offers delicious conveyor belt sushi from ~$1 a plate, plus udon and ramen. Perfect for picky eaters!
While shopping in Shinsaibashi, we looked for a comfortable place to grab a meal with the kids, and that's how we found Sushiro~
Since we came all the way to Japan, we definitely wanted to eat sushi, but our kids aren't big on eating all sorts of raw fish. So, I thought a place with a wide variety of menu options would be best.
As it turned out, my kids ended up eating plate after plate of egg sushi and shrimp sushi, haha! And with the added fun of watching our ordered food travel along the conveyor belt, if you're looking for a great place to eat with kids in Shinsaibashi, this spot is truly fantastic~!

Sushi plates starting from 150 JPY kept the cost down!
When you're traveling in Japan with a family of five, meal expenses can add up faster than you expect, right?
At Sushiro Shinsaibashi, a single sushi plate starts from 150 JPY.

Based on the current official menu:
Shrimp sushi: 150 JPY
Egg sushi: 150 JPY
Salmon sushi is also 150 JPY!

Even if the kids ate one egg sushi and ordered another, then ate shrimp and pressed the order button for more shrimp, the prices made us think, "Go ahead and eat!" haha!
Since everyone can pick and choose exactly what they want, it was so convenient not having to agree on a single menu, even with multiple people!

Is Sushiro good for kids?
For me, it wasn't just "good," it was incredibly convenient and comfortable for dining with kids!
Just because it's a sushi restaurant doesn't mean it only has raw fish on the menu.

When we visited, there were also various noodle dishes like Udon, Soba, and Ramen, as well as a wide selection of kid-friendly sushi, such as egg sushi and cooked shrimp sushi.

My children particularly loved the egg sushi and shrimp sushi, so we didn't even need to worry about finding special kids' menu items.

Currently, the Shinsaibashi branch menu also features side dishes like ramen, and the menu selection changes seasonally.
I checked, and there are even ramen options currently available for 540 JPY.

If your kids' appetites change day by day, having so many options truly makes life easier, haha!
Even waiting for the food is entertaining!
Another thing the kids loved at Sushiro was watching their ordered food arrive on the conveyor belt~

From picking what they wanted to eat, they were already having fun, and after ordering, they just kept staring at the conveyor belt, wondering when their food would arrive!
With the sushi zipping right to our table,
it was like an entertainment in itself while we ate!

When you're traveling with kids, the time spent waiting for food at a restaurant
can sometimes feel surprisingly long.
But here, that time felt much less boring!

A perfect meal stop while shopping in Shinsaibashi!

Shinsaibashi is packed with amazing shopping spots,
from Onitsuka Tiger and ASICS to Daiso,
and after wandering around for a while,
you know everyone suddenly gets super hungry, right? Haha!

Instead of making an effort to trek far to find a popular restaurant,
it was perfect to just pop into a place right near Shinsaibashi Station.
📍 Sushiro Shinsaibashi Branch
日本 〒542-0081 Osaka, Chuo Ward, Minamisenba, 3-chōme−10−11 FPG Links Shinsaibashi, 3F
It's about a 3-minute walk from the station,
and with an elevator in the building,
it was super convenient for moving around with a stroller and kids.

The prices were reasonable,
kids could pick familiar dishes,
and adults could order whatever sushi they craved~

If you're traveling with kids in Osaka,
and you don't want to stress about menus in Shinsaibashi,
I'd definitely go back to Sushiro!

Oh, and they even have a Korean menu,
which makes things incredibly easy!
Since the kids could choose what they wanted to eat themselves,
they even got that proud feeling of
"I ordered this myself at a Japanese restaurant!"
Haha!
From picking their dishes to placing the order, doing it themselves
made the kids surprisingly excited and they ate even better~
