I went without many expectations, but I was so delighted by both the atmosphere and the hot springs!

It feels like an even more perfect spot to visit during the upcoming autumn and winter seasons.

Especially since it's conveniently located on the way back from Universal Studios,

imagine hitting up Universal Studios Japan (USJ) in Osaka, then melting away all that post-adventure fatigue before heading home?

Then you're absolutely guaranteed the sweetest sleep ever! 😉

It's super close to Bentencho Subway Station, making it incredibly easy to get to!

As soon as you arrive, you'll be greeted by a hot spring entrance that feels straight out of Spirited Away,

and you can easily find it just by following Google Maps!

Right at the entrance, you'll find coin lockers available for a small fee,

and they're pretty spacious! Even after stashing a 20-inch suitcase,

there was still plenty of room left over, making them super handy for days when you're heading to the airport,

or when you need to move around with your luggage in tow.

Personally, I think using the Joy Pass is much more economical than buying a standalone ticket.

Soraniwa Onsen: What to Bring & My Review

I purchased the Kansai Joy Pass for my visit,

and at the entrance, after buying the Joy Pass on Klook,

all I had to do was scan the QR code on the voucher.

Entry was instant, which was super convenient!

At Soraniwa Onsen, you can rent a yukata for free,

which really immerses you in that authentic Japanese vibe!

It's perfect for snapping some memorable photos.

Honestly, you don't need to pack much for Soraniwa Onsen.

Yukata, towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash,

hair dryers, toothbrushes, basic cosmetics, and even cleansing products

are all included in the entrance fee – how great is that!

However, if you wear makeup, it might be a good idea to bring a small

lip and eye remover with you!

My Osaka Onsen Must-Try!

If you want to wash up and unwind first, head straight to the 5th floor of the building!

That's where you'll find the communal baths.

I went in without much expectation, but wow... the open-air baths were absolutely incredible!

There were around 7 different baths, if I recall correctly, offering plenty of variety.

It was perfect for unwinding and melting away fatigue, no matter your preference. Highly recommend it!

I even visited in August when the weather was hot,

and despite hesitating to go because of the heat, I still had a wonderful time.

I imagine it would be even more satisfying to visit during the cooler autumn and winter months!

On the 4th floor, there's a fantastic foot bath area,

which is absolutely a photo hotspot!

Don't forget to put on your yukata and capture some amazing life-shot photos here!

After a long day of walking around Osaka or visiting Universal Studios,

soaking your feet and gently strolling around will give you a wonderful foot massage – it's just perfect.

On the 2nd and 3rd floors, there are also paid spa areas available,

but for me, simply enjoying the open-air baths and foot baths included in the entrance ticket

was more than satisfying enough!

After your bath, make sure to grab a bottle of milk!

I tried the strawberry milk, and it tasted absolutely heavenly after a relaxing soak in the onsen.

There's also a mirror photo spot on the 2nd floor,

which is fantastic for taking some fun mirror selfies! 😉

You'll also find restaurants and experiential spaces gathered here,

and doesn't this place just scream 'Spirited Away'?

The moment you step in, the ambiance is simply captivating,

which is probably why I saw so many people enjoying it with friends and family!

There are even gacha shops and restaurants, so you could easily spend half a day here,

relaxing over a meal.

Or, you could just pop in for a quick visit and enjoy only the open-air baths and foot baths!

Soraniwa Onsen was my first visit to an onsen during my Osaka travels,

and it was absolutely delightful!

I kept thinking, 'Why did I wait so long to come here?' It was truly that good!

Especially if you're traveling with family, I highly recommend adding this to your must-visit list!
