When I mentioned our Osaka trip,
guess what was at the top of my eldest's wishlist!
It wasn't Universal Studios, nor was it Kyoto.
Nope, it was the Sanrio store! Haha!

She made it crystal clear that even if other plans shifted,
a visit to Sanrio was an absolute must, ranking it as the top priority for our entire trip!
And so, to make my eldest's wish come true,
we headed to the Sanrio store in Shinsaibashi.

But after they each picked out just one bag and one figure case,
the total came to a staggering 19,690 yen!!
It's the story of a shopping trip where Mom was certainly surprised by the price,
but the daughters were absolutely over the moon with happiness.

Since my eldest had been longing to visit this place,
I was genuinely curious to see what treasures she would pick out!
The Sanrio Store:
Is it even possible for one place to have this much cuteness?!
The moment we stepped inside, our eyes were instantly overwhelmed by all the adorable sights!

From plushies and bags to keyrings and stationery,
the store was bursting with an incredible variety of Sanrio merchandise!

There were so many designs I hadn't encountered back in Korea,
and a plethora of special, never-before-seen merchandise!

If you have kids who adore Sanrio, they'd have a tough time leaving this place easily – haha!
Even I found myself mesmerized by the sheer number of adorable items.

The only 'problem' is that the prices are just as striking as the cuteness!
The items are absolutely adorable,
but why aren't the price tags equally charming, haha?
Eldest: Sky Blue, Second: Pink!
Their Tastes Are Crystal Clear!
Stepping into the Sanrio store,
we were greeted by an abundance of adorable character merchandise.
My daughters were absolutely lost in all the delightful discoveries!

After browsing for quite some time,
they each found a bag that truly captured their hearts.
My eldest chose a lovely sky-blue crossbody bag featuring Cinnamoroll!
Its charming design and beautiful color
instantly won me over too.

My second one chose a pink backpack with a ribbon!
This one was just as adorable!
Both bags were incredibly pretty, truly!

The kids definitely had their own clear tastes,
and since they chose the bags themselves, they loved them even more.
Okay, so they each picked a bag,
You thought the shopping was over, right?
Well, Sanrio had something even more irresistible in store, haha!
Sanrio Figure Scoop: How could we resist this?!
We were just about to leave after buying the bags,
but something else caught the kids' attention and stopped them in their tracks.

It was the Sanrio Tsumetene Figures!
You get to pick your favorite Sanrio characters
and fill them into a transparent container yourself.

From Hello Kitty to Cinnamoroll and My Melody,
there were so many adorable figures!
Honestly, it looked like fun even for adults!

Watching the kids pick out their desired characters one by one
and fill up their containers was just so exciting!
There were smaller containers available too,
but in the end, both decided on the large ones.

Looking at the finished containers, filled with colorful figures,
they were just too adorable!

Since they personally picked their favorite characters,
the kids seemed even more attached to them.

How much does the Sanrio Figure Scoop cost?
Size | Price |
S Size | 2,200엔 |
L Size | 4,950엔 |
This price includes the figures,
and we each bought an L size.
Just for the two large containers, it was 9,900엔!
Add the bags to that,
and the shopping total really started to grow, haha!

Two bags, two figure scoops – is this total for real?!
The total for this Sanrio shopping trip was
19,690엔!
I paused for a moment when I saw the credit card statement.
Since my first child really wanted to go to this place,
I expected some shopping,
but I didn't expect to spend nearly 20,000엔, haha!

My first child carried her sky-blue cross-body bag,
the second wore her pink backpack,
and each held their chosen figure containers.
They were absolutely thrilled!

My wallet might have gotten lighter,
but seeing my daughters' happy faces still brings a smile to my own.

Sanrio, our top priority for our Osaka trip,
How was it once we got there?
We visited famous tourist spots in Osaka,
and had many fun experiences,
but the Sanrio store, which my eldest daughter really wanted to visit before the trip,
was indeed special, it seems.

The bag chosen directly at the travel destination,
and the figure container filled with their favorite characters.
To adults, these might just be souvenirs,
but for the kids, it must have been a long-awaited moment.
Even though the prices were a bit steep,
the sight of my two daughters enjoying themselves
will surely stay in my memory for a long time.
If we go to a Sanrio store again in the future?
I'd probably end up buying them things again, haha!
But next time, before we even go in,
I'll need to set a shopping budget first!

If you're shopping with kids in Shinsaibashi, Osaka,
consider adding the Sanrio store to your itinerary!
Just a heads-up: if you're going with kids who love Sanrio,
don't even think about leaving empty-handed, haha!
