For an Osaka adventure, I always gravitate towards Namba for my stay!
It's super close to Dotonbori and a breeze to get around with the subway.
The Onyado Nono Namba, where I recently stayed,
truly offered a unique vibe compared to typical Osaka hotels.
Imagine this: the entire hotel is laid with tatami mats,
and there's even a natural hot spring public bath to soak in!
What truly impressed me is that they even have rooms perfect for families of three or four,
making it a spot I'd absolutely love to revisit with my parents.
Get ready, because I'm about to spill all the details – from the Queen room I stayed in, to the incredible public bath,
and even the complimentary late-night snacks and ice cream!
1. My Top Osaka Namba Hotel Pick!

Onyado Nono Namba is a fantastic Japanese-style hot spring hotel,
proudly part of the Dormy Inn family.
📌 Why Onyado Nono Namba is a Must-Stay
· Just a 1-minute walk from Nippombashi Station, and incredible access to Dotonbori
· The entire hotel features a beautiful tatami design
· Boasts a natural hot spring public bath
· Complimentary late-night ramen and ice cream
Here's a tip: Nippombashi Station and Namba Station are connected by an underground shopping arcade,
which made getting to Namba Station a breeze.
I even stayed indoors all the way to Nippombashi Station after arriving on the Rapit train!

The absolute biggest reason this place sticks in my mind?
You take off your shoes the moment you step inside the hotel!
Because the entire space, from the lobby to the hallways and even your guest room, is tatami-matted,
you pop your shoes into a locker right at the entrance.
It didn't feel like stepping into a standard business hotel at all;
it was more like being welcomed into a traditional Japanese ryokan.
2. Diving Deeper into Onyado Nono Namba

They offer quite a diverse selection of rooms,
ranging from cozy Queen rooms to various Twin room configurations.
The Queen room I stayed in was 22.4㎡,
featuring a comfortable 160cm queen bed, perfect for two.
For families of three or four,
I highly recommend the Deluxe Twin Room, thoughtfully equipped with two beds and two futon sets!

The bathroom setup was another detail I really appreciated.
It had a brilliant design where the sink and toilet were separate
and the entire area felt distinct from the main bedroom space.
Since I primarily used the large public bath for showering,
I didn't really need the in-room shower much, but...
it was incredibly convenient for two people getting ready at the same time –
one could use the sink while the other used the toilet.
When I visited, I managed to book a Queen room for
around ~$149 per night.
Honestly, considering its prime location near Namba Station, the fantastic public bath,
and the complimentary food, I didn't feel like I was wasting a single penny.

3. A Deep Dive into the Queen Room

The Queen Room I stayed in
had a tatami floor extending right from the moment I opened the door.
What I found really great about it, more than I expected, was that
I could comfortably use the floor to organize my luggage,
and it was also perfect for sitting on the floor to relax after a shower.
Turns out, I actually really like tatami...?
The floor was impeccably maintained, so
I personally found it much more satisfying than hotels with regular carpet.

The queen bed was also quite spacious.
Officially, it's a 160cm queen size,
but when I lay on it, it felt generously large, almost like a king.
Even with two people, we barely felt like the bed was cramped.

When I opened the refrigerator,
it contained bottled water and a dessert.
Turns out there was pudding as a welcome dessert!
The one I received was a pear-flavored pudding,
and its refreshing taste was perfect after a dip in the onsen. 😋

In the closet, there were hotel-exclusive garments
ready to wear when heading to the grand bath.
There was also a basket and towels to take to the grand bath,
so all you need to do is change and take the basket downstairs.

The amenities also had all the basics covered.
There was shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand wash,
and disposable items like toothbrushes, combs, and cotton swabs were also provided.
The hairdryer was a Panasonic model,
and it felt almost brand new, working perfectly for me!
(There are also hairdryers in the grand bath, so you can dry your hair there too.)
4. Grand Bath & Facilities

At Onyado Nono Namba,
what I was most satisfied with was definitely the grand bath.
· Location: 2nd floor
· Operating Hours: 3:00 PM - 10:00 AM
(Sauna use suspended from 1:00 AM - 5:00 AM)

Stepping into the warm water,
the fatigue from a full day of walking just melted away.
Since it uses natural hot spring water,
being able to enjoy a hot spring right in the heart of Namba
is, I think, this hotel's biggest advantage.

And there's free ice cream in front of the grand bath,
available from 3:00 PM until 1:00 AM.
Unlimited ice cream, no less!!
When I stayed there,
I had an ice cream after my bath, and I understood why the kids kept grabbing them one by one near the freezer, haha.
(In the morning, instead of ice cream, you get probiotic drinks.
There's also a separate Meiji milk vending machine.)

From 9:30 PM to 11 PM,
they offer **free Yonaki Soba at the 1st floor restaurant**.
It's a famous late-night snack service from the Dormy Inn group,
a light, soy-sauce-based ramen.
The broth wasn't too salty, and the portion was just perfect for a late-night snack !
Even after eating all day in Osaka and returning to the hotel,
hearing it was free, I still managed to make room for it...😂

On the 2nd floor, next to the public bathhouse, there's also a laundry room.
Washing machines are free, including detergent,
and dryers cost 100 yen for 20 minutes.
If you're planning a long-term trip to Osaka,
this amenity can be quite useful.
Additionally, there's a microwave next to the free ice cream,
and a luggage scale on the 1st floor, so keep that in mind.

📌 **Onyado Nono Namba Hotel Free Services**
Guest Rooms: Bottled water, Welcome dessert
In front of the Public Bath: Ice cream, Lactic acid drink
1st Floor Restaurant: Yonaki Soba
As a guest, you don't need to pay extra
to enjoy these services,
so I highly recommend taking advantage of them all during their operating hours.👍🏻👍🏻
✔ For those who prioritize **accessibility to Namba and Dotonbori**
✔ For those who want to enjoy **hot springs and public baths** with their parents
✔ For families of 3-4 looking to stay in one room
This is the Osaka hotel I recommend for the above-mentioned travelers!!
It's a place where I kept thinking,
'I definitely need to bring my mom here next time.'😌😌
It's **highly popular among Korean travelers**, so
if you want a deluxe twin room for 3-4 people,
I recommend booking your room in advance.
