As I was preparing for my trip to Osaka, Japan,
one of the biggest things I pondered was where to stay.

Since this Osaka trip involved three of us,
I wanted a place where each of us could sleep comfortably in our own bed,
and most importantly, as this was my first time visiting Osaka,
location was key!
With a packed itinerary that included everything from Universal Studios Japan
to a Kyoto bus tour and Dotonbori sightseeing,
the schedule was tight, so
I focused my search on the Namba area,
which offers convenient transportation.

The place I ultimately chose was
KOKO HOTEL Osaka Namba Sennichimae.
Having stayed there myself, I found that
while the room wasn't exceptionally spacious, it was spotless,
and most importantly, the location was incredibly satisfying.

On top of that, it was a place where you could stay for around ~$37 per person,
offering amazing value for money!

KOKO HOTEL Osaka Namba Sennichimae
features a Main Tower and a Residence Tower,
made up of two separate buildings.
The facilities vary depending on the room type,
with some Residence rooms equipped with a kitchen and a washing machine,
making them a great option for family trips or
for those planning a longer stay.
I think they would be perfect for such travelers.

Of course, the Main Tower also has a laundry room, a microwave,
and an ice dispenser.
Since not all rooms offer the same facilities,
I highly recommend checking the room name and amenities carefully
before making your reservation.

As for KOKO HOTEL,
it's very close to Nipponbashi Station,
and both Dotonbori and Kuromon Market
were within walking distance.

What's more, there are plenty of restaurants and shopping facilities nearby,
plus two convenience stores,
making it incredibly convenient even after a day of sightseeing.
From Kansai Airport to KOKO HOTEL |

We took the Rapi:t express train from Kansai Airport.
After getting off at Nankai Namba Station,
we walked for about 10 minutes to the hotel,
We followed the main road, and I was pleasantly surprised that the pedestrian path was so well-maintained –
pulling our suitcases along was no trouble at all!

Another big plus was that
it's super close to Namba Walk Exit B30.
Having access to the Namba Walk underground shopping arcade
made shopping and getting around so much more convenient!
Just a heads-up though, from Nankai Namba Station to the hotel,
it's not a fully indoor connection the whole way,
so if you're loaded with suitcases or bags,
I'd recommend scoping out the exits and routes beforehand.

When you're exploring Osaka, the Namba area is key,
and how convenient your stay is can really depend on your accommodation's exact location.
Coco Hotel, though, has a massive advantage:
you can easily access both Nippombashi Station AND the heart of Namba's central shopping district.
That felt like a huge win for us!
If you're traveling as a trio, just like we were,
make sure to double-check the room's location and bed setup beforehand.
Since rates can fluctuate depending on the dates,
it's a good idea to compare them to fit your travel itinerary.
Coco Hotel Triple Room for 3: An Honest Review |

The room we booked was a triple room, perfect for three!
What really won us over was the fact that it had THREE single beds!
Often, triple rooms just come with a double bed
and an extra bed crammed in,
but at Coco Hotel, each of us got our own single bed,
which made our stay so much more comfortable.
Especially since triple rooms aren't super common,
I'd recommend checking if they're available for your desired dates first.

Stepping into the room, the very first thing that struck me was
just how incredibly spotless it was!
The bedding was pristine, and the whole room gave off an impression of being meticulously cared for.

However, as is typical for Japanese business hotels,
the room wasn't exactly sprawling.
We all brought 24-inch suitcases,
and there wasn't quite enough floor space to fully open all three at the same time.
So, we ended up using one of them half-folded.
On the bright side, by pushing the beds together on one side,
we managed to free up a bit more floor space to move around.

The beds were spaced just right,
and there were more than enough outlets,
which was super handy for charging our phones and power banks.
The mini-fridge was on the smaller side,
but it was perfectly fine for keeping a few drinks chilled.
So, while the room wasn't exactly sprawling,
we honestly didn't feel much inconvenience during our actual stay.
If your plan is to explore all day and simply crash at night,
it's definitely a perfectly satisfactory space.
What about the Bathroom and Amenities? |

The bathroom wasn't huge,
but it was well-equipped with everything we needed.
Best of all, I was really happy with the strong water pressure in the shower!
After a long day of exploring, when you just want to wash off the day,
weak water pressure can be a real buzzkill,
but thankfully, that wasn't an issue here at all.

And get this – on the 1st floor, at Coco Hotel's reception,
you could grab all the amenities you needed yourself!
They had a fantastic selection, including cleansing oil, toothbrushes and toothpaste, and even cream,
so you could just take whatever you needed.
What I particularly loved was that DHC cleansing oil was provided ~ haha
Is Breakfast at Koko Hotel Worth It? |

On this trip, we decided to try the breakfast.
When we visited in October 2026,
the breakfast price was ~$11 per person,
and it was available from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM.
Since we had to do a Universal Studios Japan 'open run' that morning,
we unfortunately couldn't enjoy breakfast at a leisurely pace.

The variety of menu items was actually quite impressive,
with standard breakfast staples like bread and egg dishes,
plus a selection of Japanese dishes.
There were quite a few guests enjoying their meals, too.
While it wasn't a particularly standout breakfast,
it was perfectly decent and convenient, so
adding it to your stay could be a good idea depending on your itinerary.

If you have an early start for USJ or Kyoto, like we did,
grabbing a quick bite at the hotel before heading out is super convenient.
But if your mornings are more relaxed,
there are plenty of fantastic restaurants nearby,
so you might not feel the need to add breakfast.

Plus, having two convenience stores right below the hotel
means easy late-night snack runs!
Namba Walk underground shopping center is also super close,
perfect for dining and shopping. Dotonbori and Kuromon Market are within walking distance,
and Bic Camera is just across the street, making shopping a breeze.

This hotel was truly in an ideal spot for exploring
Osaka's most iconic tourist attractions.
Even the Kyoto bus tour meeting point,
Tsurutontan Soemoncho Dotonbori branch,
was only about a 4-minute walk away
— incredibly convenient!
Since most tours meet early in the morning,
having the meeting point so close to our accommodation
really cut down on travel stress.

If you're joining a tour that departs from the Dotonbori area, just like we did,
Koko Hotel Namba Sennichimae's location is definitely a major perk!
Overall, our stay at Koko Hotel was incredibly satisfying.
While the room wasn't huge, it was perfectly comfortable for three people,
and the cleanliness was top-notch.

What's more, for a value-for-money stay at around ~$37 per person,
it felt like we hit the jackpot for our first Osaka trip!
I'd highly recommend it to anyone traveling with two friends or family members
who wants a convenient base for sightseeing.

You can also book Koko Hotel through its official website.
Sometimes KOKO FAMILY members get special perks, so
it's a smart move to compare prices between the official site
and other hotel booking platforms.
Don't just look at the room rate alone;
I highly recommend checking the final payment amount (including taxes),
whether breakfast is included, and the cancellation policy.
