The Henna Hotel Express I'm recommending today boasts an unbeatable location: just a 10-minute walk from Nankai Namba Station, 1 minute from Nipponbashi Station, and a mere 2-minute stroll to the entrance of Dotonbori.

What's more, established in 2025, the hotel's exterior and interiors are modern and fresh, yet the accommodation prices offer incredible value, starting from ~$60-68 on weekdays and around ~$76 on weekends.
While I'll dive into more details in the review below, this is personally one of the few value-for-money hotels in Osaka that I was truly satisfied with.

Next, I'll share my actual stay experience.
Lobby Facilities and Check-in Process

Henna Hotel is right in front of Nipponbashi Station Exit 6, so I arrived almost instantly from the station.

From 12 AM to 6 AM the next morning, the front door locks, so you'll need to use your key card or the intercom to enter.
While staff are present, it's primarily a self-service hotel, so I recommend arriving and checking in before midnight if possible.

At the entrance, there are umbrellas available for free rental, so even if you forgot yours, no worries!

After a short corridor, you'll immediately find the lobby.
On the first floor, you'll find a lounge (breakfast area), restrooms, luggage lockers,
And they even have a self-check-in machine!

You can use the check-in machine starting from 2 PM,
and it supports Korean, so you'll have no trouble using it.
Also, check-out is by 10 AM,
and there's a fee of ~$10 for every hour you're late,
so please be mindful not to check out late.

Next to the check-in machine, there was also a compression packing machine
called the 'Smart Packing Service'.
If you want to minimize the bulk of your clothes on the last day of your trip,
it seems like it would be very convenient to use. (Cost: ~$2)

To the left, there were plenty of luggage lockers and lockable hooks
for storing suitcases.
You can use them yourself, both before and after check-in.

Amenities are also in the lobby, so you can freely grab them yourself
and use them.
Only basic amenities like cotton swabs, razors, combs, body towels, and robes
were refillable.

After checking in, you'll receive two room keys,
and you can take the adjacent elevator to your room.
Double Room Review

I stayed in Double Room 210 on the 2nd floor.
The room size was 16 square meters (approximately 172 sq ft) – about 5 pyeong –
and it didn't feel cramped for a business hotel.
And since the bed had space underneath,
I could store my suitcase there.
This really helped make the room feel spacious and comfortable.

The bed was large enough for two people
and quite plush, so I slept very comfortably at night.

In front, there was a small desk, a chair, and a few room amenities.
These included a deodorizer, a mini-fridge, a coffee pot, and some tea.

The in-room bathroom was incredibly spacious!
Even though it's a business hotel, the layout was fantastic with the sink, shower, and toilet all separate.

The vanity area was bright and well-lit with a mirror, making it super easy to get ready. And yes, all the basic amenities like towels, cups, and a hairdryer were thoughtfully provided.

Personally, the expansive bathroom was a huge highlight for me. It wasn't just a bathtub; they even had a shower chair and a traditional scoop, perfect for enjoying a relaxing half-bath!

But the real star? The bathtub! It was incredibly large and spacious, comfortably accommodating even a tall adult man. And for showering, they had everything covered – shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were all provided, so you don't need to pack a thing!

The toilet also had its own separate compartment, which is super convenient – someone can be showering or washing their face, and you can still comfortably use the facilities!
Complimentary Breakfast

Another fantastic perk of this hotel is the complimentary breakfast! You can enjoy it in the 1st-floor lounge from 6:00 AM to 9:30 AM.

Breakfast comes as convenient frozen bento boxes, which you can easily warm up yourself in the microwave. Plus, there's an ice maker right next to it, freely available for you to use!

You'll also find a selection of simple packaged drinks like coffee, cafe au lait, and green tea, perfect to complement your meal.

With a variety of frozen bento box options like samgak gimbap (triangle kimbap), chicken nanban, mackerel, and pasta, you can enjoy a different delightful meal each morning!
A Hotel with an Excellent Location and Price!

Today, I introduced Henna Hotel Express Nipponbashi,
which I highly recommend to those looking for a clean,
well-located, and great value hotel in Osaka.
It felt like I finally found a truly great value
hotel in Japan after a long time.
Not only do they have the double room I used, but also twin rooms,
so I think those traveling with friends or a partner
will be very satisfied if they try it out!
