Osaka has so many gacha shops,
it can be overwhelming trying to figure out where to start if it's your first time.
Whenever I travel to Japan, I always make sure to visit gacha shops,
but if you try to visit too many, your travel route can get complicated,
and it can really drain your energy and time.
So, this time, I've picked out the places I've personally visited that were
either large, easy to find specific types of gacha,
or naturally fit into my shopping itinerary,
and I'm going to share them with you.
Shinsaibashi Shopping Street c-pla
Operating Hours: 10:00 ~ 23:00
The first place I want to introduce is
the C-pla gacha shop located on Shinsaibashi Shopping Street.
It's near Dotonbori, a place everyone visits in Osaka,
and being on Shinsaibashi Shopping Street made it super easy to fit into my itinerary.
Gacha machines were densely packed starting from the first floor.
What I loved most about this place was that
they had organized the gacha machines by type.
Sanrio gacha together, new arrivals in a separate section,
making it much easier to find the specific gacha I was looking for.
As the store spans up to three floors,
it was quite large in scale.
If you find it hard to visit multiple shops,
just stopping by this one place
was more than enough to see a wide variety of gacha types.
The second floor was also filled with gacha machines,
and it wasn't overly crowded,
making it easy to browse at a relaxed pace.
📌Quick Take
If you're only going to visit one gacha shop in Shinsaibashi,
I'd recommend this one first.
It was great when I wanted to explore a large selection in one place,
and the new arrivals and character-specific sections were really well organized.
Bic Camera 7th Floor
Operating Hours: 10:00 ~ 22:00
I originally went to Bic Camera for liquor shopping,
but since there was a gacha shop, I decided to check it out too.
While it's not huge,
it seemed to have most of the gacha found in other shops.
They even had a dedicated Anpanman gacha zone!
It was fine to stop by when I was already there for electronics or the liquor shop,
but it wasn't large enough to make a special trip just for gacha.
📌Quick Take
Bic Camera is less of a primary gacha destination
and more of a convenient stop to include in other shopping plans.
It's a good place to pop into after you've been for electronics, liquor, duty-free shopping, and more.
Namba City B2F
Operating Hours: 11:00 ~ 21:30
This is a gacha shop located on B2F of Namba City.
It was perfectly situated for a quick stop while shopping around Namba City.
They even had gachas that make sounds!
I love sound-making gachas, so I immediately tried my luck with one.
I was searching for a gacha of a coin-operated rice mill that lights up, and I found it right here in Namba City!
I'm planning to customize it by putting a small ID photo or a picture of my dog inside.
This gacha reminded me of the persimmons my grandmother likes, so I snapped a photo of it.
I meant to get it, but I forgot while taking pictures!
📌My Takeaway
The Namba City B2F shop isn't about massive scale, but rather a perfect spot to casually browse as part of your shopping route.
Its big advantage was having unique items like the coin-operated rice mill gacha or radio gachas, which aren't easily found in other stores.
Namba Parks 6F
Hours: 11:00 ~ 22:00
This is the Bandai Namco store located on the 6th floor of Namba Parks.
I decided to visit because it's a large store that also has game machines and crane games.
The gacha zone was conveniently gathered in one area, so it wasn't hard to find, and it was quite expansive.
What's more, Bandai Namco had signboards indicating which types of gachas were available in each section.
It wasn't just character gachas; miniature and accessory gachas were also neatly categorized.
The wide variety of gacha types made it enjoyable to browse at a relaxed pace.
The gacha machines stretched along the walls, and the scale was impressively large.
They were well-organized, making it easy to quickly scan through them, which was super convenient when I wanted to find a specific gacha fast.
Bandai Namco isn't just for gachas; it also has crane games and a game zone, making it a store where you'll find yourself exploring all sorts of things once you step inside.

The 6th floor of Namba Parks is more than just a gacha spot; it's a store where you can enjoy exploring the game zone as well.
The gacha location signboards were a definite plus, making it super easy to find what you're looking for.
If you're hunting for gacha shops in Osaka, instead of trying to hit up every single one, picking just a few that align with your itinerary and travel route will be thoroughly satisfying.
If you can only visit one place first,
I highly recommend C-pla in the Shinsaibashi Shopping Street.
And for those who want to combine gacha hunting with some retail therapy,
I suggest checking out both the Namba City and Namba Parks locations together.

The Namba Bic Camera 7th Floor Gacha Shop is not large, but it's a good place to stop by when you're already visiting Bic Camera for other shopping purposes, such as electronics, liquor, or duty-free shopping. It's not large enough to warrant a special trip just for gacha.
The Namba Parks 6th Floor Gacha Shop is located inside the Bandai Namco store, making it a large store with both game machines and gacha machines. In addition to gacha, you can also explore and enjoy the game zone, offering a multifaceted entertainment experience.
