Osaka is a popular destination, with many airlines offering routes and a wide variety of flight times. If you're planning to catch the stunning autumn foliage, you know it's crucial to start looking for flights now, especially for late 2026 and early 2027!

Average Osaka Flight Prices

Flight prices often reflect the weather, and it's no surprise that they tend to skyrocket during peak travel seasons.

Osaka's stunning autumn foliage typically begins mid-November and lasts until early December. When I searched for flights during this period, including a weekend (Thursday to Sunday), I found prices generally in the ~$220-~$300 range.

However, if you have a little flexibility with your travel dates, adjusting your 3-night, 4-day itinerary can make a big difference.

For example, by shifting my travel dates just one day past a weekend, I found a price difference of about ~$110 for the third week of November. That's a significant saving!

(Thu-Sun was around the late ~$200s >> Fri-Mon / Sat-Tue was around the early ~$200s)

Of course, if you have the freedom to travel on weekdays, that's almost always the cheapest option. You can often find flights for as low as the ~$150s!

If you're planning a weekend trip, aiming for around the ~$220-~$260 range is generally considered a good deal!

Japan Flight Discount Booking Tip

As mentioned, fuel surcharges are on the rise again starting October 2026. Naturally, everyone wants to find the best possible deal!

Korean Air Flight KE2119 Review (Departure to Osaka)

During the off-peak season, I found Korean Air flights for around the ~$150s, so I took the opportunity to fly with them again! Here's a quick review of the in-flight experience and meal.

The flight (KE2119) was on a smaller aircraft with a 3-3 seating configuration. They provided earphones, and the in-flight monitors were fully functional, making the short journey fly by.

Even on this short route, a warm hot meal was served, which was perfect for satisfying my hunger. On the way to Osaka, I had beef stew with potatoes, and it was quite decent!

One reason I love using Trip.com is their real-time notifications. I received alerts for gate changes and even directions to the baggage claim after landing. It made navigating the airport so much easier and stress-free!

Korean Air Flight KE724 Review (Return from Osaka)

For my return flight (KE724) from Osaka, I flew on a larger aircraft with a 3-3-3 seating arrangement, likely due to the higher passenger volume on that route.

While blankets weren't provided, there was a comfortable cushion on the seat. The adjustable headrest was also a nice touch, making even a short flight feel much more relaxing!

For the in-flight meal, I enjoyed Salisbury steak with fried rice, which was even tastier than the meal on the outbound flight!

My only regret was that I had already indulged in so much delicious Osaka food that my appetite for the in-flight meal was somewhat diminished!

I've only ever visited Osaka in the spring and summer, so I'm incredibly eager to experience its beauty during autumn. If you book now, you can find flights for as low as the early ~$200s, even including a weekend, to enjoy Japan's stunning fall foliage!
