First Cabin Midosuji Namba Review: Osaka's Top Budget Capsule Stay
Searching for an affordable, well-located capsule hotel in Osaka? First Cabin Midosuji Namba offers solo travelers comfy cabins, a public bath, and easy access to Namba Station and Dotonbori.

As I was planning my Osaka trip,
one of the biggest things on my mind was definitely the accommodation.
Hotel prices in Japan can be quite high,
and since I was traveling solo, I really wanted to find a budget-friendly place that offered great value.
After comparing several capsule hotels,
I chose First Cabin Midosuji Namba because it offered **an amazing location, a public bath, and individual luggage storage**!

It's directly connected to Namba Station Exit 13,
so I highly recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation right in the heart of Namba!
With access to private cabins, a communal lounge, and a fantastic public bath,
it truly felt like the ideal spot for solo travelers.
First Cabin Midosuji Namba Location
The biggest advantage of First Cabin Midosuji Namba is its
location!
Namba Station's Exit 13 connects directly to the building's basement,
making it super easy to get around even with luggage.

Dotonbori and the Glico Running Man sign are just a 5-minute walk from the hotel,
and it's also close to Nipponbashi, which made exploring incredibly convenient.
There were **tons of amazing restaurants nearby, and being right by the station on a main street** meant that
I felt perfectly safe walking around even at night, thanks to all the people around.
The location alone made me incredibly happy!
First Cabin Midosuji Namba Price
One of my main worries while planning my trip to Japan
was definitely the hotel prices.

I booked for 3 nights, 4 days, from Sunday to Wednesday, for approximately ~$109,
which came out to about **~$36 per night**.
Considering its central Namba location,
I'd say it offers excellent value for money.

Japanese capsule hotel prices vary depending on the booking period and travel dates,
but they generally range from approximately ~$36 to ~$73.

First Cabin Midosuji Namba Check-in & Lobby
Female and male cabins are separated.
Female-only cabins tend to sell out faster than male cabins,
so I recommend that **women book early**.

First Cabin Midosuji Namba occupies the 3rd and 4th floors.
The 3rd floor houses the check-in lobby, public bath, and some cabins,
while the 4th floor is entirely for cabins.

Head right past the Otani sign, and you'll find the hotel lobby.

Check-in is done on the 3rd floor.
You'll pay the accommodation tax during check-in, and both cash and card are accepted.
There's a self-check-in kiosk available with Korean language support,
and a staff-manned desk, so it's super easy.

Once you're checked in, you'll receive your key card for your cabin
and they'll explain all the important guidelines.

Next to the front desk is an amenity bar where you can freely pick up essentials like toothbrushes, slippers, razors, and combs.

You get one towel provided daily; just show your key card at the lobby to pick it up.

There's a communal lounge on the 3rd floor,
where you can bring in outside food to eat
or even work on your laptop.

There's also a water purifier, a microwave, and a coffee machine,

and the hotel even sold some simple food items.
First Cabin Midosuji Namba Guest Room

Before entering the guest room area, you change into slippers,
and your shoes are stored separately in a shoe locker.

Overall, it felt clean and hygienic,
and well-maintained.

In the common area, there are massage chairs and vending machines,

There's also a separate phone booth,
which was super convenient because I didn't have to go outside to make a call.

You enter your room with a card key.

Rooms are lined up on both sides.
The room entrances are designed with curtains, not doors.
While the soundproofing isn't perfect, the lighting is dim,
and the overall atmosphere is quiet, so everyone tries their best to be considerate.

I loved that the space was more generous than a typical capsule hotel.

For ~$36 a night, you get a bed, a table, space to open your luggage,
a full-length mirror, and even hangers!

There's also a locker under the bed to store your valuables.

Pajamas and towels are provided in the room.
It was so convenient not having to bring my own pajamas.
The ceiling is also quite high, so it didn't feel cramped, which was a huge plus.
This means even first-time capsule hotel users should feel comfortable here.
Large Public Bath Review
One of the most satisfying facilities at this capsule hotel was undoubtedly
the large public bath.

Located on the 3rd floor, just like the lobby,
you just grab your pajamas and towels from your room and head on over.

The 3rd and 4th floors are connected by stairs within the guest room area,
making it easy to move between them.
Inside the large public bath, there's a spacious hot tub,
which was absolutely perfect for melting away
all the travel fatigue from a full day of exploring.
The facilities also felt very clean and well-maintained.

Each floor also has individual shower booths.
In the shower area, you'll find shampoo, conditioner, and body wash,

The powder room has hairdryers and cotton swabs,
and with so many mirrors, even if several people use it at once,
you don't have to wait, which was fantastic!
Osaka's First Cabin Midosuji Namba is
a truly convenient accommodation for travelers, directly connected to Namba Station!
Having stayed there myself, I can confidently say that despite being a capsule hotel, its spacious rooms and fantastic public bath facilities led to extremely high satisfaction.
✔️ If you're planning a solo trip to Osaka
✔️ If you're looking for a great value stay in Osaka
✔️ If you're the type who mainly uses your accommodation for sleeping
then this place comes highly recommended!
Since it's a popular spot, rooms tend to sell out quickly,
so I recommend booking right away once your itinerary is set.
