OSAKA pass
This is an essential item for any Osaka trip, offering access to major attractions and transportation. You'll definitely get your money's worth even if you visit just a few places. It's so well-known that there's no need to go into every single detail. Let's just highlight a few key points and then dive right into how and where you can use it.
There are 1-day and 2-day versions, but remember, it's not valid for 24 hours from activation; it's valid until the end of the day you activate it. So, it's better to plan your usage strategically from early in the morning, or simply opt for the 2-day Osaka Amazing Pass for a more relaxed experience. Especially since the price isn't double!

Just a heads-up: when using the 2-day pass, the available subway/bus lines are slightly more limited compared to the 1-day pass, so make sure to check carefully.
Exchanging Your Osaka Amazing Pass

You can exchange it at the Kansai Airport Tourist Information Center or at tourist information centers in major stations. A popular spot for exchanges is JTB on the 2nd floor of Namba Station. There's usually a queue, so make sure to factor in enough time for waiting.

Just show the Osaka Amazing Pass voucher you received, and when you pick up your Osaka Amazing Pass, they'll also explain how to use it. Plus, there's a handy pamphlet available with a clear list of eligible attractions and transportation options, so definitely grab one!
Where to Use It: Must-Visit Attractions
If you opt for the 2-day Osaka Amazing Pass, you'll have more flexibility in your itinerary and can explore desired spots at a leisurely pace. However, if you choose the 1-day Osaka Pass, it's crucial to list your must-visit places, plan your route, and stick to your itinerary. I've simply compiled a few of the most popular spots people tend to visit.
Umeda Sky Building (Floating Garden Observatory)
Operating Hours 09:30~22:00

To get free admission, you need to go before 4 PM. It used to be 6 PM, but it seems it got so popular that they moved it up by two hours!
HEP FIVE Ferris Wheel
Operating Hours 11:00~22:45

While many people ride this, honestly, every time I'm on it, I don't feel much... "wow." It's just the sensation of being in a Ferris wheel, and the views aren't particularly special compared to other spots. However, there's rarely a long queue, and it does give you that "on vacation" feeling, so if it fits your itinerary without a hitch, it's still a decent option to include.
Tsutenkaku Tower
Operating Hours 10:00~20:00 (Tower Slider until 19:30)

The city view from here isn't bad either, but honestly, Tsutenkaku Tower itself is most beautiful when it's lit up at night, rather than just for the daytime view.

There's a Tower Slider, but the descent speed isn't as fast as you might expect. You can ride this for free if you go on a weekday. On weekends, it costs 1,000 yen.
Besides these, Osaka Castle and Dotonbori River Cruise are also popular spots.
Where to Buy Your Osaka Amazing Pass
I've gathered all the options here, just in case you're wondering which to choose!
Among these, Klook requires a transportation option if you're not getting an E-Pass. If you need it, it's convenient to bundle it when purchasing your Osaka Amazing Pass, but if not, you might want to book elsewhere.
So far, we've covered everything from purchasing to exchange locations, pickup methods, and recommended attractions. But there's one thing I really want to emphasize: this is just a ticket. Don't let the passion to "get your money's worth" lead you to force yourself to visit places you're not really interested in. Enjoy your trip!
The Osaka Amazing Pass is valid until the end of the day it is activated, not for 24 hours from the time of activation. Therefore, it is recommended to plan its use from early morning or purchase a 2-day pass.
Admission to the Umeda Sky Building Kuchu Teien Observatory is free if you visit before 4 PM. The Tsutenkaku Tower Slider is free only on weekdays; on weekends, a fee of ~$6 applies.
You can exchange and pick up your Osaka Amazing Pass voucher at the Kansai Airport Tourist Information Center or major station tourist information centers. Namba Station's 2nd-floor JTB office is a frequently used exchange location, but please allow for potential waiting times.
