For those of you embarking on your first Osaka adventure,
you'll likely be focusing your exploration on the city center.
To enjoy the city's attractions affordably,
using a pass is a smart and economical choice.
Today, among the many passes available, we'll introduce you to the Osaka Amazing Pass 2-day ticket,
which is specially designed for city sightseeing, including where to use it and the exact itinerary we followed!
Where to Use the Osaka Amazing Pass 2-Day Ticket
First, for those of you who might not be familiar with the Osaka Amazing Pass,
let's start by outlining where you can use it.

City Area | Available Facilities |
Around Umeda | Umeda Sky Building Kuchu Teien Observatory (until 3 PM), Koji Kinutani Tenku Art Museum, HEP FIVE Ferris Wheel, Osaka Museum of Housing and Living, etc. |
Around Namba, Dotonbori | River Cruise, Wonder Cruise, Kamigata Ukiyo-e Museum |
Around Shinsekai, Tennoji | Tsutenkaku Tower, Tower Slider, Dive & Walk, Tennoji Zoo, Keitakuen Garden, etc. |
Around Osaka Castle | Osaka Castle Museum, Nishinomaru Garden, Figure Museum, Gozabune Boat Ride, Aqua-Liner, etc. |
Around Tempozan, Nanko Port | Tempozan Ferris Wheel, Santa Maria Cruise, Legoland Discovery Center, etc. |
Other Areas | Osaka Museum of Natural History, Nagai Botanical Garden, etc. |
In the table above, I've organized a list of attractions in Osaka city that you can enter for free using the Osaka Amazing Pass.

It includes popular spots like cruises, observatories, the HEP FIVE Ferris Wheel, Osaka Castle, and more –
all attractions that anyone planning an Osaka trip has likely heard of!
If you were to purchase individual tickets for Osaka's attractions,
they typically cost around 1,000 to 2,000 yen each,
which makes using the pass a much more economical choice.

Trains & Buses | Available Lines/Services |
Osaka Metro | Midosuji Line, Sakaisuji Line, Tanimachi Line, Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi Line, Yotsubashi Line, Imazatosuji Line, Chuo Line, Sennichimae Line, New Tram, Imazato Liner |
Private Railways | Hankyu Railway, Keihan Electric Railway, Nankai Electric Railway, Kintetsu Railway, Hanshin Electric Railway (select lines) |
Buses | Osaka City Bus (excluding IKEA Tsuruhama Bus and buses to USJ) |
The biggest perk of the Osaka Amazing Pass is that, in addition to free entry to attractions,
it also includes unlimited rides on city transportation!

You can pretty much assume that all the lines needed to get to the attractions we mentioned above are included.
Since transportation in Japan can be quite pricey,
just by taking the subway for two days, you could easily save more than 1,000 yen off the pass price!

My Itinerary and Review

Next, I'll share **my actual itinerary**
using the **Osaka Amazing Pass 2-day ticket**.
I activated it right on the day I arrived in Osaka and
used it for two days, so keep that in mind!
Day 1

First, after arriving in Osaka city on the first day,
the very first place I headed to was the **Umeda Sky Building Floating Garden Observatory**.
With the Osaka Amazing Pass, you can only enter until 3 PM,
so it's best to visit it first.

Next, I headed to the
**HEP Five Ferris Wheel**, which is right next door.
If you go during the daytime, there aren't many people waiting,
so you can ride quickly and be back in no time!

After that, I returned to the Namba area and
took the **Wonder Cruise**, which I had reserved in advance.
Evening cruises are very popular,
so I highly recommend booking in advance.
On the first day, I just enjoyed three attractions.
Day 2
On Day 2, I headed to **Osaka Castle** around 10 AM.

And I was among the first to ride the **Gozabune Boat** by doing an 'open run' (arriving right at opening).
Waiting lines can be long in the afternoon,
so going in the morning is much more efficient.

After riding the boat, I went up to Osaka Castle.
The Osaka Amazing Pass is virtually the only pass that includes admission to Osaka Castle,
so if you plan to visit the main tower (Tenshukaku), it's definitely a good idea to reserve.

After finishing my tour of Osaka Castle, I returned to Namba and
took a **River Cruise** during the daytime.
Cruises at night and cruises during the day have different vibes,
so it's worth trying both.

Later in the afternoon, I moved on to Tennoji and
first visited **Tennoji Zoo**.
It's surprisingly spacious with many animals,
making it a city zoo worth visiting.

Finally, I headed to **Tsutenkaku Tower**.
If you have extra time or are looking for a thrilling experience,
you might want to try the slider or
the Dive & Walk experience here.
I purchased a ticket for the Tsutenkaku night view,
went up to the observatory to see the night scenery, and concluded my pass usage.
How Much Could I Save?

The **Osaka Amazing Pass** is a pass that can save you
a significant amount of money, depending on how you use it.
I used the pass quite leisurely.
I'll explain how much you can save with this itinerary
in the table below.
Category | Attraction | Admission Fee (Regular Price) |
Day 1 | Umeda Sky Building Floating Garden Observatory | 2,000 JPY |
HEP FIVE Ferris Wheel | 1,000 JPY
Wonder Cruise | 2,000 JPY
Day 2 | Gozabune Boat Ride | 1,800 JPY |
Osaka Castle Nishinomaru Garden | 1,200 JPY
River Cruise | 2,000 JPY | |
Tennoji Zoo | 800 JPY | |
Tsutenkaku Tower | 1,500 JPY
Total | 12,300 JPY |

As you can see, we used tickets worth 12,300 JPY just for admission, and we took transportation to each attraction at least
5 times, which would have cost us around an additional 1,000 JPY.
So, that's approximately 13,300 JPY, or about ~$84 in USD, compared to the pass price of ~$31, we were able to save roughly 2.5 to 3 times the cost!

Even with a relaxed itinerary, we saved this much; imagine how much more value you'd get if you explored even more!
So, for those planning to explore mainly central Osaka, using the Osaka Amazing Pass will be even more efficient. Go ahead and book your pass below!
