Today, I'm sharing my review of the New Orient Hotel, an amazing budget-friendly option in Da Nang!

When I was trying to choose a hotel in downtown Da Nang,

I narrowed it down to budget-friendly spots with nice pools.

And I was absolutely thrilled with this place because the facilities were so clean despite the low price!

I did tons of research before booking, and there's a reason why I chose this one.

1. Da Nang Hotels

Since Da Nang is such a hot tropical getaway,

even if you get a hotel close to Han Market,

you'll end up taking taxis back to your room anyway.

That's why it's actually much smarter to pick a hidden gem

that's budget-friendly, even if it's slightly outside the main center.

Once you get there, you'll see the taxi fare difference is only about ~$1 to ~$2,

so there's really no need to insist on an expensive downtown hotel! .ᐟ.ᐟ

So, I searched for a Da Nang stay that checked these boxes:

Since this was a family trip,

I also considered the Satya Da Nang Hotel near Han Market,

but the building felt a bit dated

and there were too many negative reviews about poor soundproofing, so I passed on it. T_T

The New Orient Hotel is also a 4-star property,

and while it's slightly outside the city center,

it's only a 15–20 minute drive from the airport, making it super accessible.

Plus, with convenience stores, local restaurants, and massage shops nearby,

it was incredibly convenient for our itinerary, and the cleanliness was top-notch! .ᐟ.ᐟ

I read through the reviews focusing mainly on cleanliness and noise—the two things I care about most—

and booked with confidence after seeing glowing comments about the clean pool and rooms.

Even my super tidy mom, who came along,

said she was thoroughly impressed with the hotel for her first trip to Da Nang!

Haha!

Seeing so many reviews from families and multi-night guests

was another reason why I chose the New Orient. :)

3. Deluxe Twin Room Review

The room we stayed in at the New Orient Hotel was the Deluxe Twin Room.

When you enter, the lobby is on the second floor, which is where we checked in.

The front desk staff were incredibly friendly,

and since we had a late check-in at 22:00, they even hooked us up with free breakfast vouchers!

We were assigned a room on the 4th floor, and the hallway was so quiet and peaceful.

The soundproofing was also excellent, making our stay super comfortable.

The bedding was crisp, white, and perfectly clean,

and both the AC and mini-fridge worked like a charm.

It was absolutely perfect for keeping our beers ice-cold! ~.~

We were provided with two robes and two pairs of slippers,

and the bathroom had a separate vanity area, which was super convenient.

They had all the essentials ready—shampoo, soap, a hairbrush, and even hair treatment—

so we didn't have to pack a thing! ◡̈

4. The Swimming Pool

The main reason we chose the New Orient Hotel over other options?

Because of the spacious pool on the 2nd floor AND the gorgeous rooftop infinity pool on the 10th floor!

1. The 2nd Floor Pool

Hours: 6:00–22:00

2. The 10th Floor Rooftop Pool

Hours: 6:00–14:00 (Ages 16+ only)

There were plenty of sunbeds, so we never had to worry about finding a spot,

and clean towels were already laid out on each one, so no need to bring your own! .ᐟ.ᐟ

Lounging by the pool with a gentle breeze blowing was pure bliss.

Plus, there was plenty of nice shade, so we didn't have to worry about the blazing sun. So good!

On the 10th floor, there's a rooftop bar combined with the infinity pool,

which had a completely different vibe compared to the 2nd floor.

It operates as a pool until 14:00 and transforms into a restaurant/bar at night.

You can look right down at downtown Da Nang and the river from the pool—

talk about a view with a serious wow factor! ㅎ.ㅎ

The pool floor is a vibrant, deep blue,

which makes your photos look incredibly refreshing and aesthetic!!

Watching the water sparkle under the warm sunlight,

I honestly wanted to lounge here all day long ്디,,-`_´-)

5. Breakfast

Breakfast: Bistecca Restaurant (7th Floor)

Hours: 6:00–10:00

It wasn't too crowded on the day we went,

so we could enjoy a nice, leisurely meal. ◡̈

With both indoor seating and an outdoor terrace available,

you can pick your favorite spot and dine in comfort.

There was a great variety of dishes, ranging from classic bacon and sausages

to a live egg station where you can get your eggs cooked to order—

scrambled, sunny-side up, you name it!

They also had a wonderful selection of pastries like croissants and muffins,

and a Vietnamese pho station that seems to rotate its menu daily! .ᐟ.ᐟ

The Korean section was a bit simple, just kimchi and kimbap, which was a tiny bit disappointing, but...

Since Vietnamese food is so incredibly delicious and diverse,

I was more than satisfied with just that! haha

Above all, the insane value for money made up for absolutely everything
