Vessel Inn Sakae, which we're looking at today,
is part of a nationwide chain of business hotels across Japan.
It's a hotel where quality is assured,
and seeing that it's just a minute's walk from Sakae Station,
Nagoya's prime bustling district, I booked it right away.
Even so, the accommodation fee was a fantastic value at around ~$75 on weekdays
and about ~$151 on weekends.
Plus, it's known for its delicious breakfast, so I made sure to
book a room with breakfast included.

Being right in front of Sakae Station means there's a large convenience store and popular restaurants on the first floor,
and Don Quijote is just a block away, making it incredibly convenient for travelers.
And imagine, if you manage to snag a cheap deal,
your stay will be even more satisfying, wouldn't it?

My Stay Experience at Vessel Inn
Now, let me share my experience staying there.

The hotel occupies floors 2 to 14,
with the lobby conveniently located on the 2nd floor.
You'll find handy amenities like smoking booths, washing machines,
microwaves, and water purifiers on floors 2, 3, 7, and 12, so
snapping a photo of the floor guide can save you some hassle.

Check-in was done via a self-check-in machine at the
2nd-floor front desk, and with Korean language support available,
I had absolutely no difficulty checking in.
And if any issues popped up, the staff were quick to
assist, so there's really nothing to worry about.

After checking in, guests could freely pick up any amenities they needed.
Beyond essentials like toothbrushes, toothpaste, and razors,
there were even various samples like oils and cleansing foams available,
which made the experience incredibly satisfying.
No need to pack anything from home!

Tucked away inside the 2nd-floor lobby is a cozy lounge.
In the mornings, it serves as a breakfast area, and in the afternoons,
it transforms into a lounge where you can relax freely.

Coffee and simple beverages were available for free, and I even found
LEGO toys for kids to play with!
Turns out, Vessel Inn is an official partner hotel of
Legoland Japan.

Next, I headed to room 701, which was assigned to me.
The 7th floor is quite convenient, as it has vending machines and a microwave,
making your stay a little easier.

The room had a typical business hotel layout,
with a bed and a desk.
Even so, the desk was thoughtfully arranged in the layout,
and the bed was positioned to one side,
leaving a decent amount of space around the foot of the bed.

The desk was long and horizontal, and paired with a comfortable chair,
it was perfect for getting some light work done in the evening.

Other standard room amenities included a coffee pot,
an indoor robe, a refrigerator, and a television.

The bathroom also featured the typical Japanese business hotel layout,
with the toilet, sink, and bathtub all
compactly arranged.
Nevertheless, the bathtub wasn't particularly narrow,
so even an adult male could use it comfortably.

As for amenities, everything essential was provided: two towels (one small, one large),
hand wash, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner.
And if you add the amenities you picked up from the lobby,
you'll truly have everything you need for a comfortable stay.

The 7th floor, where I was staying, also had some fantastic amenities for guests!
You'll find vending machines, an ice maker, a microwave, and
they even had disposable chopsticks available!
So, for those of you who love to stock up on goodies from the convenience store in the evening,
you can truly enjoy your late-night snacks with ultimate ease.

And just a heads-up, on the 3rd floor, you'll find coin-operated washing machines and dryers, so
long-term guests can easily take care of their laundry!
The Truly Satisfying Vessel Inn Breakfast

As I hinted at before, Vessel Inn is
renowned as one of those hotel chains famous for its incredible breakfast spread.
You can enjoy breakfast in the 2nd-floor lounge from 6:00 AM to 9:30 AM, and
a breakfast ticket for adults is 1,600 JPY,
while children aged 6-12 can grab one for 800 JPY.
Here’s a pro tip: if you book your stay with breakfast included,
you can enjoy your breakfast at about a 10% discount! What a deal!

The breakfast at Vessel Inn Nagoya truly showcases a fantastic array of
delicious Nagoya Meshi!

First off, you'll find those iconic dishes that immediately spring to mind when you think of Nagoya, like Tenmusu, Misokatsu, Doteni, and Tebasaki.
But there were also plenty of unexpected Nagoya Meshi surprises, too, like Ankake Spaghetti and Teppan Neapolitan!
And seriously, the taste across the board was really quite impressive.

Beyond that, you could also find other Nagoya Meshi like Hitsumabushi and Kishimen.
These two were decent, but perhaps not as standout as the others.

Beyond the Nagoya Meshi, there was also a wonderful selection of salads, bakery items,
and desserts available, meaning
I really felt the breakfast spread offered great value for the price.

I definitely went back for seconds (and thirds!) because
the food was consistently good, and having all those delicious Nagoya Meshi dishes in one place made my morning truly delightful!
Absolutely Recommended for Your Nagoya Trip!

So today, I've shared my experience at Vessel Inn Sakae, a hotel that utterly exceeded my expectations during my Nagoya trip.
Its unbeatable location, literally a 1-minute walk from Sakae Station, combined with
the incredible breakfast offering a variety of Nagoya Meshi,
and yet, all this comes at such a reasonable price, around ~$75,
truly elevated the convenience and overall satisfaction of my trip.
What's more, the hotel's interior is spotless throughout, so
if you're traveling as a solo female explorer or with your partner,
I think this just might be the perfect hotel for you!
