Ghibli Park tickets cannot be purchased on-site; they are only available online, so
you'll need to book your tickets in advance!
Tickets for Nagoya Ghibli Park
can be reserved starting two months before your visit,
and sales open on the 10th of each month at 2 PM JST!
e.g., If you plan to visit in January, tickets go on sale on November 10th at 2 PM JST!
There are three ways to book your Nagoya Ghibli Park tickets:
1. Ghibli Park Official Website Booking (for Residents)
2. Ghibli Park Booking (for International Visitors)
3. The Easy Way: Klook
I'll break down each of these methods for you, making it super simple!
Nagoya Ghibli Park
Ghibli Park is a theme park based on Studio Ghibli and its animations, located within Aichi Expo Memorial Park.

What are Premium and Standard Tickets?
Before you book, know that there are 6 types of tickets, but
to keep it simple, they can be divided into two main categories:
Premium Ticket
Access to all areas

Ghibli Park Tip
To see the interiors of Okino's House, Howl's Castle, or the Witch's House, you'll need to purchase an additional on-the-day ticket!
On-the-day tickets for special facilities within the Valley of Witches area are distributed from the ticket shop (near the small hut) starting at 10 AM (9 AM on holidays).
First-come, first-served
Only Ghibli's Grand Warehouse has a designated entry time.

If you're a truly devoted Ghibli fan,
I recommend getting the Premium Ticket,
But be warned, it's not as easy as it sounds!
If you're visiting in January, for example, on November 10th at 2 PM JST,
you absolutely *must* succeed in getting your tickets!!
Apparently, a month's worth of tickets can sell out within a week.

The advantage of booking through the Ghibli Park official website as a resident is that
the competition is less fierce than booking through the international portal!

However, you'll need a few things:
A JCB card is essential, your name in Kanji, and your hotel address.
Selecting Tickets for January
Tickets are divided into Premium and Standard, and also into paper tickets and e-tickets.
For paper tickets, you pay at Lawson and then pick them up.
But the pickup period is surprisingly short.
I made my booking on Nov 26, 2025... but they only give you exactly 3 days to pick them up...
Since I couldn't go to Nagoya right away, this method didn't work out for me – it was non-cancellable!
If you have a friend in Japan, this method lets you book without a JBC card, so it might be an option!
Click on January and select 'O' or '△'.
'X' means already sold out.
The timetable shows the entry times for Ghibli's Grand Warehouse!
Click, select the number of people, and then you'll need to sign up for membership.
It honestly took me half a day to get through all that...
For your personal information, you'll need to roughly convert your name to Japanese kanji. And for the address, use your hotel's address!
Payment is via JBC card!
Just fill out these details, and you're all set!
But it's so complicated, I don't really recommend it.
If you absolutely must go Premium, it might be more forgiving than the foreigner's route, so give it a try!
2. How to Book Ghibli Park on the Official Website (for Foreigners)

Premium tickets are already sold out, and these are for Standard admission.
Sign up with your email, and for the phone number, you can enter it like +8210~ (your number).
Your hotel address in Japan
As a foreigner, you'll need to provide additional information:
Your passport details!
Your country of residence
Enter your payment card details
Once you do this, your payment is complete! A QR code will appear on your 'My Page' and will also be sent to your email later.
3. The Easiest Way to Book Ghibli Park
After trying both the domestic and foreigner booking methods... I spent an entire day and was utterly exhausted.
If you're not set on Premium tickets, I highly recommend booking through Klook, just like I did!!
It's the best way to save time and avoid stress!!

The price is ~$24 on weekdays,
and ~$27 on weekends.
On weekdays, you can choose between 10 AM and 2 PM!
Looking at other dates, sometimes only 10 AM is available, and sometimes only 2 PM!
Other blog reviews suggested the 2 PM slot,
but my sister and I decided to go for the 10 AM weekday slot instead!
