If you're searching for a place to stay in Nagoya with a public bath, I absolutely have to recommend this one!
Its location near Sakae Station is simply unbeatable.
Since location is key and I couldn't compromise on having a public bath,
I weighed various factors and finally picked this one.
And when I actually arrived, both the location and the public bath exceeded all my expectations! Haha.
Let's dive into the detailed review, including the price for one night and a closer look at the public bath! ꔛ

1. Where to Stay in Nagoya

In Nagoya, all the best sights and delicious food spots are concentrated around the Sakae area, so
It's definitely most convenient to choose your accommodation around this area.
So, when you're deciding on your Nagoya accommodation, make sure to keep these points in mind!
✔️ Near Sakae Station + Public Bath + Easily walkable
When you're out exploring all day, your legs can get pretty tired,
but coming back to your accommodation and soaking in a public bath just melts all that fatigue away! ㅠㅠ
That's why, for any trip to Japan, a place with a public bath is absolutely the best choice!

Honestly, I also checked out CoCo Hotel, which is popular among Korean travelers, but
the rooms seemed pretty dated,
and reviews mentioned they were too cramped to even open a suitcase, so I passed on it ㅠ

Plus, with tons of great restaurants, convenience stores, and shopping spots all around, it was just perfect!
📍 Sakae Station: 6-minute walk
📍 Mirai Tower: 14-minute walk
📍 Oasis 21: 12-minute walk
📍 Parco: 7-minute walk

Whenever I travel to Japan, the very first thing I look for is
accommodation that isn't cramped, so I always seek out places with reviews praising their spacious rooms.
There were absolutely no reviews mentioning small rooms, and
I trusted all the positive comments about the location and booked it with confidence! 😎

3. Comfort Triple Room

The check-in counter for Nagoya Princess Garden Hotel
is located up half a floor from the lobby.
✔️ English check-in available
✔️ Luggage storage after check-out available
The elevators were spotless, and there was a comfy sofa area to relax,
so my first impression was definitely a good one!

The room we stayed in was a Comfort Triple Room.
Inside the triple room, there were three separate beds,
making it absolutely perfect for three people!

Even with three beds,
there was still plenty of space to open our suitcases,
which was such a relief compared to the cramped rooms often found in Japanese hotels!
The bathroom, while a bit older, was spotless, so we had no complaints.

There's also a small table,
perfect for enjoying snacks bought from a Japanese convenience store – that's the Princess Garden Hotel for you!
It’s also close to the Shirakawa-go tour meeting point,
and among hotels with a large public bath, the price is quite reasonable,
so if staying multiple nights seems a bit much,
I highly recommend trying it for even just one night!!
4. The Grand Public Bath (Dae-yok-tang)

Princess Hotel boasts a grand public bath, separated for men and women,
and it's so spacious that even with many people, it never feels crowded.
All my fatigue just melted away in the warm water, it was pure bliss!

Wearing the special gown provided for the public bath and heading there,
was wonderful because it's connected indoors, keeping you warm and cozy...🖤
- Bathing Area: 15:00-10:00
- Sauna: 15:00-1:00

The washing facilities inside are also incredibly well-maintained and clean,
so we hardly ever ended up using our room's private bathroom, haha!
For three women, not having to wait turns for the shower in our room
and being able to wash and dry our hair separately in the grand public bath was a huge time-saver; it was amazing!

Honestly, it's rare to find accommodation in the heart of Nagoya city
where you can enjoy such a spacious grand public bath.
So, if you're traveling to Japan and would be disappointed to miss out on an onsen experience, then definitely,
make sure to book a place with a public bath and get the most out of it! ꔛ
