Hi there! I'm travel blogger Lisa!
Today, I want to share a perfect spot
for a quick, getaway-like trip
during the holidays: a recommended Gyeonggi-do Osan cafe.
It's one of the top places to visit in Osan,
located just a 10-minute drive from Mulhyanggi Arboretum,
making it super easy to combine both into one trip.
It's also only a 10 to 30-minute drive
from Dongtan (Hwaseong), Pyeongtaek, and Yongin,
making this spacious Gyeonggi-do cafe incredibly accessible.

I especially loved the
chop steak and pasta we had for dinner—
they were absolutely memorable!

In today's post, I'll be sharing:
✔️ Myeongjang Sidae Osan: Location & Accessibility
✔️ Why it's perfect for family gatherings & group meetups
✔️ Menu Recommendations & How to Book
✔️ My 100% Honest, No-Sponsor Review
...and so much more!

Plus, it sits right in front of Seodong Reservoir,
earning its reputation as a massive Osan cafe
with a gorgeous view!

make sure to check the times before heading out!

By the way, it's open year-round! They will be operating normally
even throughout the Chuseok holiday season and on the day itself,
so it’s a wonderful spot for a family walk
and a relaxing gathering.
2. The Vibe at Myeongjang Sidae, Osan's Spacious Cafe

To be honest, the first time I visited Myeongjang Sidae Osan,
I was completely blown away by
how incredibly spacious it is.
They even have two dedicated parking lots,
making parking a total breeze.
With three whole floors—including a rooftop—
plus a lovely outdoor terrace,
it's the absolute perfect spot for these cool, breezy days!

I visited on a weekend,
and while it was definitely bustling,
there were so many seating options that
I was able to enjoy my meal in total comfort and leisure.

The seating is super versatile, ranging from 2-seaters, 4-seaters, and 6-seaters to massive group tables,
so I saw plenty of groups gathering here
for get-togethers in Osan.
With its massive floor-to-ceiling windows (a rare find in Osan!) overlooking
the scenic Seodong Reservoir right outside,
it's easy to see why this is a highly recommended must-visit cafe.

On top of that, they have plenty of high chairs,
and because it is a pet-friendly cafe,
you'll often see families here with kids
or their adorable pups.
* Note: Pets must be in a carrier or bag!
3. Recommended Menu Items at Myeongjang Sidae Osan
Famous not just as a cafe but
also as a top-tier local eatery in Osan, Gyeonggi-do,
Myeongjang Sidae boasts a fantastic, diverse menu.

This place is so much more than just a regular bakery cafe!
They serve a mouthwatering brunch menu in the morning and afternoon,
a delicious dinner menu in the evening,
and the sheer variety of breads is absolutely mind-blowing.

Alongside their wide range of coffees and drinks,
they also serve highballs, whiskey, wine, and beer, making it a
highly recommended dinner spot for family gatherings in Osan.

To tell you the truth, I'm a total regular here! 🥹
My parents absolutely love it, so we come here all the time for family get-togethers,
and it's also a great, comfortable spot to
bring my laptop and get some work done.
✔️ You can choose from three different types of coffee beans, and
because they roast them in-house, the coffee is incredibly delicious!
Bakery Menu Recommendations
There must be at least 50 different kinds of bread here,
but out of all of them, my absolute favorite is...

👉🏻 Osan 'Kkamja' Potato Bread!
It's stuffed with savory potato salad,
and the rich, creamy mayonnaise pairs perfectly with the wonderfully chewy bread.
I actually heard that they temporarily took it off the menu,
but brought it back because of popular demand!
haha 😂

Aside from the potato bread, I highly recommend
their new Pepperoni Pizza Bread!
And their classic salt bread is perfectly crispy on the outside and wonderfully soft on the inside!

You can also enjoy the super trendy Myeongran (Pollack Roe) Mayo Salt Bread
right here at Myeongjang Sidae Osan,
so be sure to keep that in mind!
4. Osan Restaurant Recommendation - Steak & Pasta
What we ordered and loved during this visit
was the Flat Iron Chop Steak and
the Shrimp Rosé Pasta!

And we paired it beautifully with a glass of Balvenie whisky👍
The portions were incredibly generous...
Talk about amazing value for money.
The flat iron steak wasn't tough at all—
it was so juicy and tender,,💕
Honestly, it was quite addictive.
I heard they make their tomato sauce from scratch,
and the blend of fresh tomato and cream
was absolutely my style.
The rosé pasta has a nice little kick of spice,
which was perfect for keeping it light and not too heavy.

The whisky selection, which they just introduced
this past October, paired wonderfully
with the dinner menu.

Next time, I'm definitely going to try one of their highballs.
Since it was the weekend, quite a few people were enjoying them
from lunchtime onwards—they look like they'd pair perfectly with the steak!!
5. The One Tiny Downside
As wonderful as this Osan cafe is,
even Myeongjang Sidae Osan
has one slightly disappointing thing..!

During peak weekend lunch hours,
it gets incredibly popular...!!
*Sob*... I wanted to keep this place as my own secret hotspot!
Because of that, I usually prefer to visit
either in the morning or during dinner hours.
But the saving grace is that since it's a massive cafe
with high ceilings, it never actually feels
overwhelmingly noisy💕
6. Wrapping Up

My visit to Myeongjang Sidae Osan proved
that it fully deserves its spot
on the highly recommended Osan cafe list.
✅ Super spacious, massive cafe venue
✅ Incredible variety of breads and desserts
✅ Perfect for brunch or family dinner gatherings
In short,
it's a trifecta of a
Cafe + Bakery + Restaurant all in one.
They are open 365 days a year—even during major holidays like Chuseok—
so if you are looking for a family dining spot
or a great place to visit in Osan or the surrounding areas,
I confidently recommend Myeongjang Sidae Osan!
