Hotel Tyrol Muju Resort Breakfast Review: European Ski Lodge Charm
Discover the European charm of Hotel Tyrol at Muju Resort! Our review covers the delicious breakfast options, cozy ambiance, and convenient ski-in/ski-out access.

Just recently, my kids and I enjoyed a fantastic 3-day, 2-night ski trip at Muju Resort, staying in the Hansol-dong area.
During our stay, we had the pleasure of experiencing breakfast at Hotel Tyrol within the resort, and I'm excited to share all the details!

If you're coming from the ski slopes, you can directly access the restaurant on the second floor of Hotel Tyrol.

Here's a look at Hotel Tyrol from the ski area. After a fire, it reopened in winter 2023. While it shares the same name as the old hotel, it's essentially a brand-new facility.

Did you know that Tyrol is the name of a region in west-central Austria? This explains the charming European vibe!

At the entrance of Tyrol Restaurant, we spotted a banner showcasing some of their delicious dishes and menu options.
Entering Tyrol Restaurant

Here's a glimpse of the Tyrol Restaurant entrance.

A menu board outside the entrance allows you to check out the meal options in advance.

07:00 AM ~ 09:30 AM

I was fortunate to receive complimentary breakfast for two. Since our visit was on a Monday, the buffet wasn't available, so we opted for à la carte dishes.
Tyrol Restaurant Menu

The menu featured options for breakfast, dinner, appetizers, drinks, and a full wine list. Considering it's a hotel restaurant, I found the prices to be quite reasonable.
Inside Tyrol Restaurant

A friendly staff member guided us to our pre-set table.

Here's a look at the basic table setting.
The Wine Cellar

The wine cellar truly felt like a fantastic photo spot! It was beautifully arranged, making it perfect for snapping some pictures and admiring the collection.

It has a wonderfully classic feel, and as a new hotel, everything felt exceptionally clean and pristine.
Our American Breakfast

For our à la carte order, we chose the American Breakfast. The menu indicated it would come with eggs, juice, coffee, bread, and cereal.

We ordered tomato and orange juice, and soon after, cereal with milk arrived.

Next, warm bread was served. While it was a bit disappointing to only get one piece of each for two people, the bread was fresh and warm, which was delightful.

I captured a photo of the bread with the beautiful interior in the background.

Then came the main course! It included two fried eggs, hash browns, sausages, tomatoes, kiwi, and orange slices.

Here's our entire breakfast spread. It certainly brought to mind the saying, "the most delicious meal in the morning is the one someone else prepares for you!"

Finishing off with coffee, it was a perfectly classic American breakfast. After our meal, I took a quick stroll around the interior.

The restaurant's interior design truly makes you feel like you've been transported to Europe, making it an ideal spot to soak in the romantic atmosphere of the ski resort.

Venturing a little further inside, I discovered a separate area with traditional Korean restaurant-style decor.

With Korean menu options available, this section would be perfect for group gatherings. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, though one minor drawback was the parking situation. While hotel guests naturally have no issues, visitors coming solely for a meal reportedly can't park, even with a reservation. Given its prime location right in front of the ski slopes, this is likely a necessary measure due to high demand, but it was a slight inconvenience.
MellowTrip's Takeaway
Hotel Tyrol Restaurant at Muju Resort truly offers a fantastic ambiance. Its direct connection to the ski slopes makes it incredibly convenient for grabbing a meal during your ski day.
I highly recommend it for families or couples looking for a delightful dining experience in a beautiful setting. The prices were also quite reasonable for a hotel restaurant. Just remember that the breakfast buffet is only available on Sundays and public holidays, so plan accordingly!
