Getting to Baekun Cafe: The Shuttle Bus
We hopped on the free shuttle bus that circulates within Taekwondowon. It's a convenient way to get around!
After boarding in front of the Experience Center, it's just about a 5-minute ride to the monorail station.
From the comfort of the bus, we got to see various parts of the expansive Taekwondowon complex.

Don't worry, the monorail moves at a leisurely pace, so it's a perfectly calm and enjoyable ride up the mountain.
After a pleasant ride on the monorail, we arrived at the Observatory.
From the top of the observatory, the photo information panels are incredibly helpful. They allow you to identify the names of the distant mountains and spot other nearby landmarks, which really enhances the viewing experience.

I thought this spot below would be perfect for photos. It's definitely an "Instagrammable moment" at Taekwondowon!

No matter how gorgeous the view, you can't stay out in the cold forever, right? That's why Baekun Cafe, conveniently located on the 3rd floor of the observatory, is such a welcome sight!
You can still soak in those magnificent views you admired from the chilly outdoor observation deck, but now from the warmth and comfort of indoors!
I'd wager this is easily one of the top five cafes in South Korea when it comes to incredible views!
Beyond just drinks, they also offered a variety of delicious snacks and treats.
They had a great selection of coffees and teas to choose from.
The cafe is also a fantastic spot to capture some memorable family photos. After enjoying our tea and snacks and letting the stunning views refresh our eyes and minds, we prepared to head back down.
You can take the monorail back down, too. Though, we did spot a few adventurous folks who opted to hike up instead!
