Muju Ori Restaurant Review 2026: Ski Resort Dining Near Muju

My family and I visited Muju Ori, located about 5 minutes from Muju Resort.

Exterior

It was a restaurant combined with a guesthouse.

There was a really huge duck right in front of the restaurant, which was pretty fun!

There was quite a spacious parking lot right in front of the restaurant, so we didn't have to worry about parking.

Inside the Restaurant

Upon entering, the interior immediately caught my eye with its clever design, full of duck dolls.

I tried to make a reservation for lunch, but they said there were no tables available. So, we skied at Muju Resort until 2 PM and visited around 3 PM, and there were still quite a few customers!

I also saw them preparing the fresh grilled duck.

They were doing the first grilling.

We walked past the area where refillable side dishes were prepared and found our seats.

I briefly looked around inside and noticed a Muju Ori Cafe.

You could even get an Americano through a review event!

The Muju Ori Cafe was located immediately to the left upon entering.

After a quick tour, we sat down and ordered the fresh grilled duck.

Menu

Herbal Duck Baeksuk for Wellness, Herbal Free-Range Chicken Baeksuk, Pre-grilled Fresh Duck, and Deodeok Duck Bulgogi were the main dishes.

For meals, they offered Ttukbaegi Stew, Cold Noodles, and Grilled Deodeok. And for drinks, they had their special house-made Green Grape, Grapefruit, and Plum Makgeolli.

The breast meat and leg meat were served separately, and they explained that the breast meat is tastier cooked lightly, while the leg meat is better cooked until crispy.

Ordered Dishes

I ordered one whole Pre-grilled Fresh Duck, two servings of Cold Noodles (Mul-naengmyeon), and Green Grape Makgeolli.

The basic side dishes were served simply.

The Green Grape Makgeolli, made with homemade syrup, was served right away.

It was so sweet and delicious, it went down really smoothly!

A whole pre-grilled fresh duck was served.

One whole duck weighed 1.4 kg, which was a generous amount for a family of four, especially when combined with other meal items.

The leg and breast meat were served separately, along with pumpkin, chives, and mushrooms.

I heard that the breast meat, when the grill is hot, is delicious if grilled for about 20 seconds, so I tried it exactly as instructed.

A Herbal Duck Ttukbaegi Stew, simmered with the duck bones, was served alongside.

The broth was absolute art!

We raised our glasses for another 'cheers' midway through the meal!

The breast meat really cooked incredibly fast.

I let the leg meat cook a bit longer until it was golden brown and crispy.

Eating the wonderfully chewy leg meat with chives, pumpkin, and mushrooms made it even more delicious!

When you're having meat, you can't miss out on refreshing mul-naengmyeon (cold noodles)!

We even received a cute duck as a gift!

This really is a fantastic restaurant in Muju, Jeonbuk, near Deogyusan Mountain!

Event

Through a review event, we could choose between coffee or a cup.

We opted for the coffee.

It seemed like they even received an award for their duck dishes in 2024.

The restaurant is quite spacious, making it perfect for group gatherings too.

It’s a great spot to stop for a meal on your way out after visiting the Muju Deogyusan Resort ski slopes.

At Muju Ori, my family and I enjoyed a delightful variety of duck dishes.

The restaurant is spacious, offers comfortable parking, and has a tastefully designed interior.

The pre-grilled raw duck and the herbal duck stew (hanbang-ori-ttukbaegi-tang) were absolutely delicious.

Located just about 5 minutes from Muju Resort, it’s a wonderful place to visit on your way out and comes highly recommended as a must-try restaurant for your Jeonbuk Muju travels.
