With two kids in Phu Quoc,

even if you don't explore outside all day,

I found a resort where all your eating, playing, and relaxing needs

are perfectly taken care of~!

On that day, we didn't step

a single foot outside the Movenpick.

In the morning, we leisurely enjoyed breakfast outdoors,

spent the entire morning splashing around in the pool,

in the afternoon, we even indulged in Chocolate Hour,

and by evening, we had dinner all sorted within the resort.

At first, I wondered, “We've come all the way to Phu Quoc,

is it really okay to just stay inside the resort?”

But traveling with two kids,

it turned out to be an incredibly enjoyable schedule.

Especially when choosing a resort with kids,

breakfast is just as important as the swimming pool, isn't it?

Just avoiding having to take the kids out in the morning

to find something to eat

significantly reduces travel fatigue.

and it's operated as a breakfast buffet.

Looking back at the Movenpick breakfast photos,

it wasn't a hotel with an incredibly lavish variety of options,

but when we actually ate, we never felt like anything was missing.

There were various breads and pastries,

fruits, Vietnamese dishes, and Western-style options,

and even warm dishes like pho.

Officially, they offer a diverse selection, including freshly made noodles,

banh mi, pancakes, waffles, cheese, and rosti.

It was especially great that there were options suitable for children.

When traveling abroad with kids,

no matter how many breakfast options there are,

the kids usually only eat

a few familiar items like bread, fruit, and eggs, right?

Movenpick had those kinds of dishes,

so it wasn't difficult at all to get the kids' breakfast sorted.

I also had a warm bowl of pho,

and helped myself to various breads and fruits.

Overall, it was reliably delicious.

I Preferred the Outdoor Seating Over Indoors

And while having breakfast,

what surprised me and stuck most in my memory was actually the seating.

We sat outdoors,

and since it was morning, it wasn't as hot as I expected,

and the atmosphere was simply wonderful.

Having come all the way to Phu Quoc,

rather than eating indoors with the air conditioning blasting,

eating slowly while enjoying the outdoor scenery

really made it feel like a true vacation.

The kids also ate more comfortably outdoors than in the stuffy indoors,

and we even got another cup of coffee and just relaxed there.

More than remembering an incredibly huge variety of breakfast options,

While there might be high chairs somewhere,

they weren't easily noticeable when we visited.

If your child is still at an age where it's difficult for them to sit in a regular chair,

breakfast will be much easier too.

on days with good weather,

definitely try sitting at an outdoor table.

Currently, the official operating hours are

daily from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM

at Waverly Lounge.

Since you can enjoy chocolate desserts for free,

from our perspective as a family with kids,

it felt like a wonderful little extra event!

We also played happily at the main pool from the morning,

then came in right on time.

Swimming all day can tire kids out,

but when we said, “Let's go eat some chocolate now,” in between activities,

they got excited and followed right along!

Kids who love chocolate

will have their eyes light up! Haha.

Chocolate Hour isn't just about a few pieces of chocolate;

it's so much more than that!

Officially, they offer chocolate desserts like brownies and truffles,

along with a magnificent chocolate fountain!

I highly recommend visiting at least once during its operating hours!

We took a short break from swimming, recharged with some sugar,

and even went back to our room for a quick nap.

According to our original plans,

we should have gone out for dinner that evening.

Our original dinner plan was the Duong Dong Night Market...

Our initial plan was

to visit the Duong Dong Night Market in the evening!

Since we came all the way to Phu Quoc, we wanted to explore the night market

and enjoy some local food outside before heading back.

However, reflecting on the day,

after playing at the main pool,

then the kids' pool,

and then the beach...

it wasn't just the kids who were exhausted;

Mom and Dad were completely drained too!

The thought of showering, changing, and then getting back into a car

to go all the way to Duong Dong...

Suddenly, no one wanted

to go to the night market anymore! Haha.

So, a very quick change of plans!

Let's just eat at the resort.

They had kid-friendly options like pizza and pasta,

plus dishes using fresh Phu Quoc ingredients,

so it was super easy for our family to pick out something delicious for everyone!

We were too tired to venture out, so we decided to eat in,

and it turned out to be a fantastic decision – the food was absolutely delicious!

Honestly, when you're traveling with kids,

being able to enjoy a comfortable meal right at your accommodation

and then head straight back to your room?

That's truly the best choice you can make.

Heads up: Prices here are a bit higher than eating outside Phu Quoc.

Honestly, if you compare the prices to restaurants in Phu Quoc city,

it's definitely on the pricier side~

But hey, it's a 5-star hotel restaurant within a resort!

Looking at the current menu for The Islander,

pizzas range from around 220,000-290,000 VND,

and some items also have separate taxes and service charges.

So, if you're thinking about local Phu Quoc prices,

you might walk in and think, "Whoa, that's pricey!"

However, when I thought about the cost of a family meal out back home in Korea,

it actually didn't feel burdensome at all.

Plus, and this is a big one, we didn't have to deal with the hassle of traveling to the night market

and back that day.

We just showered, put on comfy clothes, headed down,

enjoyed a delicious meal, and went straight back to our room.

When you factor in that level of convenience,

I really think it was an excellent choice!
