How to Get to Mega Burger Bled

Mega Burger, a fantastic eatery near Lake Bled,

is conveniently located on the way to Bled Castle.

It's also just a 5-minute walk from the park in front of Lake Bled,

making it a perfect stop on your travel itinerary.

I visited because of its excellent Google Maps ratings.

The sign on the first floor of the hostel building was immediately visible,

making it super easy to find.

Although some people park right in front of the store,

it's only for temporary pickup.

I'd highly recommend visiting on foot.

1. Atmosphere and Seating

When I visited Mega Burger Bled past 1 PM,

it was bustling with travelers from all walks of life.

I was a bit surprised to find that there was no indoor seating,

but there were 3-4 bar tables available out front.

Compared to the number of tables, there were very few chairs,

and it seemed that most people either ate standing at the high bar tables

or took their food to go and enjoyed it on a bench by the lake.

Since we were already coming from Lake Bled,

We decided to grab a spot right outside the shop!

We snagged a spot at the bar table, and then, after a bit of a waiting game,

we managed to snag a chair from someone who had just finished up!

​It was a day full of walking, so we were a little tired,

so being able to sit down and eat was an absolute lifesaver!

Just a heads-up, this spot doesn't have indoor seating or restrooms,

so keep that in mind if you're planning a visit, as it might be a bit inconvenient for some.

2. Menu and Prices – What's on Offer!

The menu at Mega Burger Bled was super easy to navigate.

It was thoughtfully written in both Slovenian and English

and even had pictures, which made choosing what to order incredibly easy!

Most of the options were delicious handcrafted burgers,

but they also offered salads and even pancakes!

For an extra 4.9 euros, you can upgrade your burger to a set with fries and a drink.

Or, for 5.5 euros more, you can get onion rings and a drink.

Since you can get these as a set,

I wholeheartedly recommend ordering a set menu – it's definitely the way to go!

3. My Take on the Menu: What I Actually Tried!

I went for what seemed to be their star attractions,

the Mega Burger and the Bled Burger.

And yes, I ordered them both as sets, one with fries and one with onion rings, because why not go all out?!

From the chewy, flavorful homemade buns to the wonderfully juicy patties,

it was clear why this place boasts such fantastic Google Maps ratings!

The Mega Burger, packed with cheese, caramelized onions, pickles, and tomatoes,

offered a richer, more complex flavor profile.

In contrast, the Bled Burger, sans cheese and pickles,

had a cleaner, more straightforward taste, letting the sauce shine through for a fresh, savory bite.

Burger patties are typically cooked to a perfect medium,

but if you prefer yours more well-done, just be sure to mention it when you order!

Those uniquely shaped fries were tasty too,

but personally, the onion rings really stole the show for me!

I ordered beer as my drink, and enjoying it alongside the burger was just perfect,

allowing me to truly soak in the relaxed vibe.

You can swap out the beer for a soft drink if you prefer,

so go ahead and order their fantastic value-for-money set menu!
