The menu featured
a variety of fresh pasta dishes.
MARGO Restaurante e RAVIOLERIA
As the name MARGO Restaurante e RAVIOLERIA suggests with 'Ravioleria' in it,
the main specialty here is ravioli.

Thinking back to all the ravioli I've had across Italy,
each place offered something unique and
distinctive, so
I was really curious to taste what Matera's ravioli
would be like.

What made this place special was the fun of
being able to see and choose your fresh ravioli directly from the display.
They explained what ingredients were inside,
but since I wasn't exactly sure,
I just picked whatever caught my eye! Haha.

We chose the ravioli that had a slightly tangy cheese inside,
the second one from the right
on the display.
The Exterior

MARGO Restaurante had a clean yet
sophisticated exterior.
From the outside, it was hard to imagine
what the interior atmosphere would be like.

The Interior
As soon as you step inside,
a charming yet luxurious interior welcomes you.
It was much more opulent than I had expected.

Since it was incredibly hot outside,
the inside was pleasantly cool and comfortable.

While you shouldn't expect Korean-level air conditioning,
if you just sat still,
the temperature was quite pleasant.

The seating was also spacious,
making it perfect for a relaxed meal.
What We Ordered
First, as we were quite thirsty,
we were served wonderfully cool water.

sanbenedetto naturale.
I liked the water so much,
I actually sought it out in supermarkets afterward.
Then, our ordered main dishes began to arrive one by one.

First up was the Ravioli, which we had
customized by choosing the filling and type directly
from the display.

The cheese had a unique taste –
a slightly fermented flavor, almost like aged kimchi,
and a delightful umami kick, which made it truly captivating.
I usually find strong, pungent cheeses or
sheep's cheese difficult to eat, but I enjoyed this
without any hesitation whatsoever – it was incredibly delicious!
It was so much fun discovering a new flavor.

Next up was the Carbonara.

The doneness of the pasta was a little disappointing, as
the yolk seemed slightly cooked,
leaving a tiny bit of regret.

However, the rich, creamy sauce, loaded with cheese,
and the delightful chewiness of the pasta itself were excellent.

The appetizing desserts displayed in the cabinet
also caught my eye, but the pasta portions were so generous,
I was too full to try them, and I still regret it.
If you have room in your stomach,
I highly recommend trying the Tiramisu!
Its presentation was truly exceptional.

Reluctantly, we finished our meal with a strong espresso each,
to cleanse our palates.
It was truly a place we were sad to leave..
Overall Impression
