Hadom Roasters (하돔로스터스) in Seongho-dong (성호동), Masan (마산), Changwon (창원), became an unexpected highlight during a recent drive through Masan Happo-gu (마산합포구). Originally, I was scouting for cafes near the Munsin Art Museum (문신미술관), but we ended up postponing the museum visit and stopped here for a morning coffee before heading to Jangsuam Temple (장수암).

You'll find Hadom Roasters conveniently located near the Gyobang-dong Prugio Apartments (교방동 푸르지오 아파트).
Although the address lists it as Seongho-dong, which is how I'm describing it in this post, it's very accessible from the nearby residential area.

I was curious about the meaning behind "Hadom," and it turns out it stands for "Have A Drink On Me!"
Perhaps the owner is a fan of AC/DC? Haha!

If you're looking for a great deal, you can get a ₩1,000 (~$1) discount when you purchase two large-sized coffees, each featuring three shots of espresso!
Even better, they have a morning special from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM, where an Americano is just ₩2,500 (~$2). It's the perfect spot to grab a quality coffee on your commute.

Primarily a takeout spot, the cafe itself is quite cozy. As expected from a roastery, a coffee roasting machine takes pride of place in one corner. The delightful aroma of freshly roasted coffee wafts out, making for a pleasant greeting even before you step inside.

The owner exuded a calm and earnest demeanor. While Hadom Roasters primarily caters to takeout customers, there are a few bar seats available – about 3-4 – both at the counter and by the window, perfect for a quick sip inside.

The coffee prices here are incredibly reasonable! Usually, when I visit a roastery cafe, I gravitate towards filter coffee. However, after checking out reviews before my visit, I saw many rave about their lattes, so I decided to order a Cafe Latte and a Vanilla Latte.

The latte art was beautifully crafted!

After my first sip, I immediately understood why everyone raved about their lattes!

The latte was incredibly smooth and rich! The balance between the milk and espresso was just perfect (and I'm usually not a big latte drinker, so that's saying something!). What truly impressed me was that the heart-shaped latte art remained intact until the very last sip, making the entire experience enjoyable.

My husband's Vanilla Latte was also delicious and not overly sweet. I particularly appreciated that they use homemade vanilla bean syrup, which truly makes a difference.

You can even see the flecks of vanilla bean left in the cup after finishing the drink! That's how you know it's real.

The joy of two lattes – a Cafe Latte and a Vanilla Latte – for just ₩8,500 (~$6)! While there's a budget-friendly chain like Compose Coffee right next door, considering Hadom Roasters uses freshly roasted beans and homemade vanilla bean syrup, I felt the value for a private cafe was exceptional. I'd definitely choose to spend a little extra for a truly proper cup of coffee at Hadom Roasters over a chain any day!
If you're a resident of Gyobang-dong Prugio Apartments (교방동 푸르지오 아파트) or simply driving towards the Munsin Art Museum (문신미술관) and craving a delicious coffee, I highly recommend stopping by. We didn't get to visit the Munsin Art Museum this time, but I'm already planning to revisit Hadom Roasters when we do!
