An Incredible Value Stay in Old Town
My Honest Review

As I was searching for the perfect place to stay in Chiang Mai,
I debated whether to choose ✅ Old Town, brimming with amazing restaurants and cafes,
or ✅ Nimmanhaemin, which is a little further from the bustling Old Town but boasts plenty of stylish, 'gram-worthy' hotels.
👉🏻Given that I was arriving in Chiang Mai at 10 PM,
and it was my very first time visiting Chiang Mai, I decided to book a place in Old Town for its fantastic accessibility!

Out of all the options, the one I went with was the incredibly budget-friendly
“Mali Hotel!”
🔥To cut straight to the chase: its location was absolutely unbeatable, surrounded by countless cafes and delicious eateries!
📌I'm going to give you a full rundown of the room I stayed in, plus a handy price comparison! *.*
▪️Superior Twin Room
▪️2 people, 2 nights ~$62 (approx. ~$31 per person)
▪️Check-in: 2:00 PM / Check-out: 12:00 PM
Mali Hotel: Where to Find This Old Town Gem

Mali Hotel is perfectly nestled right in Old Town –
It's super close to popular spots like the charming Deep Binder lifestyle store, Baht Coffee, Khun Kae Juice Bar,
Blue Noodle, and a whole host of other fantastic cafes and eateries.

For instance, I grabbed a refreshing drink from Khun Kae Juice Bar
and because it was so incredibly hot during the day, I was able to duck right back into the hotel for a quick break.
This was all thanks to Mali Hotel's prime location in Old Town, right by where many of the most popular cafes are clustered.
👉🏻Even the stunning Wat Phra Singh is just a breezy 15-minute walk away,
making it incredibly easy to conquer your Old Town itinerary with no hassle at all! *,*

I managed to book a Superior Twin Room for 2 nights for less than ~$69!
This place is already renowned for its incredible value,
but it's truly the ultimate budget-friendly find!
How can a night be less than ~$35...?

My Take on the Mali Hotel Superior Twin Room

Mali Hotel runs a 24-hour reception, so there was absolutely no stress about checking in late at night.
Just to be sure, I even sent an inquiry through the Agoda site where I booked,
and they kindly responded, reassuring me that their 24-hour operation meant 'no worries at all!'

The very first thought that popped into my head when I stepped into the room after checking in was:
“Wow, this is actually really nice!”
The room felt surprisingly spacious, and best of all, the bathroom wasn't tiny at all!!!
There was enough spare space in the room to comfortably spread out my suitcase and still move around freely.

A hairdryer, shampoo, body wash, and other essentials were all provided.
But the real 'Eureka!' moment? They even provided slippers!
And for all our charging needs, there were multiple power outlets both under the TV and right by the bed – incredibly convenient!

✔️ Two complimentary bottles of water provided daily
If you want room cleaning, just hang the 'Please make up room' sign on your door,
and they'll take care of it for you!
They also provide fresh towels and complimentary water.
Honestly, for such an incredible price, having room cleaning included truly exceeded my expectations!

📌 This accommodation costs less than ~$35 per night,
but the room condition was so fantastic that I was truly satisfied with
Chiang Mai Old Town's incredible value-for-money gem: "Mali Hotel".
If you arrive late in Chiang Mai, it's perfect for a quick overnight stop,
or if you're staying near the Old Town like me,
I highly recommend it for its unbeatable value!
While it doesn't have a pool, the rooms are spacious, and I was personally beyond thrilled!
