Indeed, Malaysia requires all eligible international travelers to submit the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) within three days before their arrival!

This requirement has been in effect since January 1, 2024, and remains a mandatory step for a smooth entry experience.

Who Needs to Register for the MDAC?

- All international visitors to Malaysia

- Passport valid for at least six months from your entry date

- Register within three days before your arrival

- Registration required for each visit

- Permanent residents and long-term pass holders are exempt

Who is Exempt from MDAC Registration?

- All Singaporean citizens

- Holders of diplomatic and official passports

- Holders of Malaysian permanent residency and long-term visas

- Holders of Brunei identity cards

Once you click the MDAC registration link, you'll first see an important notice regarding entry requirements.

After reviewing the notice, simply close it, and the registration form will appear directly on the homepage.

As an international visitor, click the 'Register' button at the bottom to begin.

Next, you'll need to fill in all your personal details.

You'll be asked to enter your email address twice, and please note that auto-fill forms might not work here, so type carefully!

Then, specify your arrival date in Malaysia and your planned departure date.

For 'Mode of Travel', select 'Air' since most international travelers will be flying.

For 'Last port of embarkation before Malaysia', select the country you are flying from (e.g., 'United States' or 'United Kingdom').

You'll also need to enter your flight number.

Finally, provide the English address of your booked accommodation in Malaysia.

After meticulously entering all your travel information, click 'Submit'.

Once you click 'Submit', a success message will appear at the top of the page, confirming your registration.

A copy of your registration details will also be sent to the personal email address you provided.

Double-check your email to ensure all the MDAC registration details are correct.

Make sure to take a screenshot of the PIN number located at the very bottom of the email!

You'll need this PIN for your 'Visit pass information' upon arrival.

If you wish to verify your registration at any time, simply click 'Check registration' at the top of the MDAC portal.

Enter your passport number, nationality, and the PIN number (which you can find in your email), then click 'Submit'.

Once you've confirmed all the details are accurately recorded, your Malaysia Digital Arrival Card registration is complete!
