London Pass 2026: Explore Tower of London & Windsor Castle
Maximize your London adventure in 2026! Use the London Pass to explore the historic Tower of London and majestic Windsor Castle, home to royal treasures and centuries of history.

Our trip to England included iconic visits to both Windsor Castle and the Tower of London, made seamless with the London Pass!

It's hard to believe I haven't finished sharing all my UK adventures from 2026 yet! I still have so much to tell you about France and Germany too.

During my stay in England, we were incredibly lucky with the weather! It was beautifully sunny, which made exploring an absolute joy.
While January in the UK can be chilly, especially with the country surrounded by water, those clear skies made all the difference, with temperatures hovering around 40-45°F.

Let's dive into the Tower of London! This impressive section, likely the White Tower, served as a formidable armory, housing cavalry equipment and historical weapons. It’s an impressive three to four stories tall!

This historic fortress is famously home to the British Crown Jewels!
As these are the actual crowns used in coronations, photography inside is strictly prohibited. But trust me, seeing the dazzling array of real jewels and gold up close is truly breathtaking! With stunning tiaras and magnificent regalia, it makes you wonder if you'd need to be royalty to ever wear one yourself!
As I explored, I heard a distinctive piping sound. Following it, I discovered one of the famous Yeoman Warders, often called Beefeaters, playing a traditional instrument. It made me wonder about its purpose – perhaps a historical signal or a way to mark the time?

From the castle walls, you get an iconic view directly overlooking the magnificent Tower Bridge!

This spot offers fantastic photo opportunities, capturing a truly atmospheric shot.

Another perfect photo spot, where the pictures turn out beautifully.

Notice the initials 'HR' on the lower part of this historical armor? These likely represent Henry VIII and one of his queens (such as Catherine of Aragon or Jane Seymour), a common historical pairing found within the Royal Armouries.

The Tower also features an impressive indoor chapel, the Chapel Royal of St Peter ad Vincula, where historical figures once worshipped.

Here's a look inside the weapons storeroom.

The castle is strategically surrounded by water, a classic defensive feature designed to deter invaders. The main fortress stands proudly in the center, with the historic village nestled just beyond its walls.

While English explanations are readily available, there are also various audio guides in multiple languages, including Korean. This is a great option if you prefer to listen in your native language, allowing you to fully immerse yourself as you tour the grounds.
The full audio guide can run for about three hours, but there's a condensed version that takes roughly an hour, perfect for a comprehensive yet efficient tour.
You'll find the audio guide rental counter just to your right after entering the main gate.

After exploring the historic Tower of London, you're perfectly positioned to admire the iconic Tower Bridge nearby.
And don't forget, your London Pass also grants you access to magnificent Windsor Castle, a royal residence just a short trip from central London!
