If you've come to London, UK, the
Harry Potter Studio Tour is an absolute must-visit!
However, it's a bit outside central London, so
it's a good idea to know how to get there
even before you book your tickets.
I'll dive into all the details, including discount codes, how to get to the studio, and booking directly from the official website!

How to Book on the Official Website

📌Official Harry Potter Studio London Website
First, before I explain the differences between tickets sold on the official website and travel platforms,
let's cover how to book directly through the official site.

Click 'Book Now' and you'll see the different ticket types.
The first option is a basic ticket that includes studio admission and a shuttle bus from Watford Junction Station to the studio.
You'll need to get to Watford Junction Station from central London,
which takes about 20-45 minutes by train,
and the round-trip train fare can add up to approximately 73-81 pounds.
The second option includes admission, hotel accommodation, and breakfast.
The third is a package that includes admission plus a round-trip bus directly from central London to the studio.

If it were me, I'd probably pay an extra ~$23 and book the option departing directly from central London, skipping the need to transfer.
Once you choose your ticket type, you'll need to select a date and time.
It's incredibly popular, so if you want to go in the morning or early afternoon,
you'll need to book at least 3 months in advance.
(Based on the official website)

So, what if you want to find an early morning slot
on a closer date?
That's when you should consider buying tickets sold on travel platforms!

I compared options that include admission tickets plus a round-trip bus from central London to the studio.
With discount coupons applied, Trip.com is actually slightly cheaper than the official website, so there's no real need to book directly there... haha!
How to Get to Harry Potter Studio Tour
Watford Junction Station Train - Shuttle Bus - Harry Potter Studio Tour

If you're not starting your journey from central London,
but rather heading to Watford Junction Station for the shuttle bus,
you'll need to take a train.
I hopped on at London Euston Station,
and guess what? No prior reservation needed!
I just used my Travelog card to get on board.

A standard train ride will take around 45 minutes,
while the express train goes directly to Watford Junction Station in about 20 minutes.
The interior might look a bit like a subway, but trust me, it's definitely a train!

Once you step out of Watford Junction Station,
you'll spot the Warner Bros. Studio Tour bus sign.
Just follow the crowd forming a line to your left!

It runs on Muggle electricity, of course~
Buses depart at least every 30 minutes.
You'll arrive at the studio in just under 20 minutes.
Merchandise

The merchandise shop pops up right as you enter!
You can absolutely grab your goodies before the tour kicks off or save it for after.
But, if you're eyeing a special wand or a wizarding cloak,
I highly recommend getting it before your tour even starts!

You can actually get your hands on wands of all different types!
At first, I was a bit underwhelmed, thinking they felt like smooth plastic.
But here's the magic trick: the display wands get touched so much they become super smooth!
A brand new wand actually has that fantastic real wood texture!
Photo Spots

The Great Hall, the very first area you step into,
is incredibly well-realized!

You can even hop on a broomstick or Hagrid's motorcycle for a photo op!
Just remember, receiving the actual photos comes with a fee.

But even if the broom photo zone isn't your thing, don't worry!
There are tons of other amazing photo opportunities, like Platform 9¾ and various Hogwarts backdrops.
So wander around and snap away!
Butterbeer

Ah, Butterbeer... I had such high hopes for it!
But the very first sip had me thinking...
"Never again will I buy this!"
It tasted like soda with a mountain of whipped cream on top,
and that cream was just overwhelmingly sweet.
Plus, being in the UK, it was quite pricey!

For those who want to try butterbeer,
where the price is affordable and you even get a cup,
head to Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo – The Making of Harry Potter!
The burger and chicken were quite delicious.
Not bad, even for British food!
