I visited around this exact time last year,

and I truly think it's a fantastic time to travel.

Today, I'm excited to share my review of the **Ock Course Tour,**

**a must-visit excursion outside London** for those heading there!

First, let me introduce the itinerary

of the Ock Course Tour I took.

The Ock Course Tour covers a total of four fantastic locations,

visiting **Stonehenge, Bibury, Burford, and Oxford** in that order,

allowing you to explore various charming areas outside London.

All four places offer a unique appeal distinct from central London,

and I personally found them incredibly satisfying.

Next, I'll share my **first-hand review of the entire Ock Course Tour,**

**based on my personal experience!**

Tour Assembly & Departure

When I took this tour, it was also during a holiday period,

so we traveled by a spacious coach, and each of us received an individual audio receiver.

To kick off the tour, our guide gave us a delightful surprise gift:

a local Choco-Pie for everyone.

It was so interesting to discover that Orion (the Choco-Pie brand) has even made its way to the UK!

About an hour into our journey,

we made a quick stop at a service station.

We were allowed to eat simple snacks on the bus,

so it was perfectly fine to grab some snacks here.

I simply picked up a coffee.

Stonehenge

The first stop on our tour was Stonehenge,

one of the world's most famous and intriguing wonders.

With our entrance tickets in hand, we hopped on the shuttle bus

and headed straight to the site of Stonehenge.

Seeing Stonehenge right before my eyes, a place I'd only ever seen in photos,

was absolutely incredible. It truly amazed me to think about how those incredibly heavy stones

were moved and stacked up high in ancient times!

One of the reasons Stonehenge was so enjoyable was that

each section had recommended poses written down,

so we could try them out one by one.

There were so many fun poses, and it was quite interesting

to follow along and take pictures.

As we walked around the entire viewing path,

we found the Heel Stone in the final section.

​

They say that on the summer solstice, the sun passes through the Heel Stone

and illuminates the central altar of Stonehenge.

Honestly, if you just look at them, they might seem like ordinary rocks, but

after hearing all the guide's explanations,

each one felt incredibly meaningful and special.

​

Personally, it was a truly satisfying part of the trip.

The Stonehenge souvenir shop had so many amazing goods

modeled after Stonehenge. I really wanted to buy something,

but the prices were a bit steep, making it a little hard to commit to a purchase.

Cotswolds (Bibury)

​

​

Our second destination was Bibury, one of the villages

in the Cotswolds.

​

​

​

​

While we were traveling to Bibury, our guide

handed out Gimbap lunchboxes to everyone. This allowed us to quickly sort out lunch

and even save some money on lunch expenses!

Bibury was truly quiet and beautiful.

Unlike downtown London, it has low-rise buildings that evoke an old-world charm,

making it wonderful just to stroll around.

Bibury's most famous photo spot is

Arlington Row, which you can see in the picture.

With its nine brick houses lined up side by side,

it perfectly captures that charming English small-town vibe, doesn't it?

Cotswolds Burford

​

​

The second village we visited in the Cotswolds was Burford.

​

​

​

​

Burford is home to many quaint little specialty shops

and famous scone eateries.

​

​

​

​

So, as soon as our free time began,

we headed straight to a cafe called 'Bakery on the Hill'.

​

We enjoyed traditional British-style scones and milk tea there. While the taste was good but not extraordinary,

the atmosphere was absolutely delightful. What was particularly unique and surprisingly delicious

was the way you spread strawberry jam and cream on the scone!

After enjoying our scones, at the very edge of the village,

I visited St John the Baptist Church.

While not huge in scale, it had a lovely medieval European feel,

making it perfect for a quick visit and some photos.

Oxford

Our final destination was Oxford, a city famous for its renowned

Oxford University, even to us!

While it didn't have the same local charm as Burford or Bibury,

it definitely offered a different vibe than central London.

Exploring the city with our guide, we saw

the Radcliffe Camera library. Its unique circular building shape really stood out!

After hearing explanations about places like the Bodleian Library,

we headed to our main destination: Christ Church.

The admission fee for Christ Church was 20 Euros at the time,

which had to be paid separately from the tour fee.

Christ Church is famously where the Great Hall in the Harry Potter movies

was filmed. Unfortunately, on this particular day, it was fully booked for an event,

so visitors were restricted from entering.

It was a shame, but we were able to glimpse the interior

through our guide's receiver before turning back.

Still, being able to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the wide central quad and

the majestic interior of the cathedral made the admission fee well worth it.

During our remaining free time in Oxford,

I explored the city center and discovered a variety of charming souvenir shops!

There were so many cute souvenirs and magnets,

making it a fun way to spend the rest of our time browsing.

After completing our Oxford itinerary, we returned to central London.

You can expect to arrive back in London sometime between 7:30 PM and 8:00 PM!

Highly Recommended as a Must-Do London Trip!

Today, I introduced you to information about the "Ox-Cots" tour,

a fantastic day trip from London.

Being able to visit four attractions, each with its own unique charm,

all in a single day, made this a highly satisfying tour for me personally.

In particular, the mystery of Stonehenge and the small English town atmosphere

I experienced in the Cotswold villages remain special memories for me to this day.
