With so many famous attractions in Da Nang, choosing where to go can be tough. But one place that truly captured our hearts and made it onto our must-visit list was Linh Ung Pagoda!

It's home to Vietnam's largest Lady Buddha statue and offers incredible panoramic ocean views, making it a perfect spot to enjoy both cultural exploration and breathtaking scenery.

1. How to Get to Linh Ung Pagoda from Da Nang City Center
We opted for an Uber taxi from Da Nang city center.
Our accommodation was near Han Market, and the drive to Linh Ung Pagoda took around 20 minutes.
We were lucky enough to have our taxi driver wait for us, so we used the same taxi for our return trip.
It's a good idea to arrange your return journey with your driver beforehand, as it can be more convenient than trying to flag down a taxi right outside the pagoda!
2. Our Experience at Linh Ung Pagoda, Da Nang
Upon arriving at Linh Ung Pagoda, the first thing that catches your eye is the incredibly massive Lady Buddha statue (also known as the Goddess of Mercy). This towering figure is said to be over 200 feet tall – equivalent to a 20-story building! Seeing it up close, it was even grander than we imagined. We kept wondering how such an enormous statue was ever moved into place!
Another major draw of Linh Ung Pagoda is its spectacular panoramic views!
Perched high on the Son Tra Peninsula, the pagoda offers breathtaking vistas of Da Nang city and the famous My Khe Beach, with the expansive ocean stretching out before you.
We highly recommend visiting around sunset. The sight of the sky and sea painted in fiery hues is truly unforgettable, adding an extra layer of magic to your visit.
You might also spot wild monkeys roaming around Linh Ung Pagoda. They can be quite entertaining, especially for families with kids! However, remember that these are wild animals, and feeding them is strictly prohibited. Admire them from a distance and keep your belongings secure.
