When planning your itinerary, you will find high-end resorts in the north near Vinpearl and Grand World, or in the scenic south near Sunset Town and the Hon Thom Cable Car. Meanwhile, the central area around King Kong Mart and the Sonasea Night Market offers a lively, active atmosphere. Located just north of the airport, Leaf Hotel is easily one of the most convenient places to stay upon arrival. Despite being a budget-friendly airport hotel, the overall quality and cleanliness were surprisingly impressive. In fact, I originally booked it for just one night but ended up extending my stay for another night because it was so comfortable.

As you can see from the map, the location is incredibly close to the terminal. This makes it the ultimate "0.5-night" transit hotel for travelers arriving on late-night flights or departing early in the morning. Check-in starts at 2:00 PM, and check-out is at 12:00 PM.

The rooms are clean, modern, and minimalist. I opted for the Superior Double Room, which featured a spacious double bed with plenty of room to stretch out after a long flight.

The room comes fully equipped with all the essentials: a small work table, cozy bathrobes, basic toiletries, and a reliable hairdryer. While there is no bathtub—just a standard walk-in shower, sink, and toilet—everything was spotless. I especially loved the eco-friendly wooden toothbrush branded with the Leaf Hotel logo; it felt sturdy and premium compared to cheap plastic ones.

One of the most surprising perks of this budget hotel is their clever partnership for amenities! Since Leaf Hotel is an affordable, compact property, it does not have an on-site swimming pool. However, guests are granted free access to a fantastic local pool located just across the street.

Here is a look at the pool. Although my busy itinerary did not leave me time for a swim, I walked over to check it out and see if there were any entry requirements to report. Interestingly, there was no hassle at all. I was prepared to say, "I am a guest at Leaf Hotel," but no one even asked!

Additionally, the hotel lobby provides fresh pool and beach towels that guests can borrow. This was incredibly convenient, and I actually borrowed one to use during my island day tours.

While the immediate surroundings are quite simple and rural, they offer a charming glimpse into local Vietnamese countryside life, complete with stunning golden hour sunsets right from the property.
