A Candid Review of a 5-Star Staycation Hotel in Southern Phu Quoc
Hello, this is Baeji! (ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈)
Today, I'm sharing about the best in Phu Quoc's Southern region,
the 5-star La Festa Hotel.
When planning my trip to Phu Quoc, Vietnam, I thought, since I'm going,
I wanted to experience a truly great accommodation, something that would cost over ~$690 in Korea, even just for one night.
So I looked into several hotels.
There are definitely more great hotels in the South compared to the North,
so I chose La Festa because I could watch fireworks and it's close to Hon Thom Island!

1. Phu Quoc Hotels
Phu Quoc is broadly divided into travel regions: the Central part with the airport,
the North, and the South.
Among these, the South has Sunworld Island,
and daily fireworks, making it a bit more romantic than the North.
If you especially want to watch the fireworks at night,
you should book accommodation in the Southern Sunset Town area!
So, for accommodation in Phu Quoc's Sunset Town area,
choose a place that meets these conditions~!
✔️Fireworks view + 5-minute walk to Hon Thom Island + Great breakfast
Among the hotels in the South, New World Hotel is also famous for staycations,
so I researched its location and reviews.
However, since it's not in Sunset Town, you'd have to stand to watch the fireworks, and it's far, requiring taxis back and forth, so I immediately skipped it.
La Festa is right in front of Sunset Town, so its location is truly unparalleled.

2. La Festa Phu Quoc
La Festa Phu Quoc is the largest hotel in the heart of Sunset Town,
✔️5-minute walk to the cable car to Hon Thom Island
✔️5-minute walk to Kiss Bridge
✔️10-minute walk to Kiss of the Sea Show venue
Its location in Sunset Town is absolutely optimal.

However, since the price point is a bit higher, I searched all the reviews beforehand.
It's an optimal hotel for a staycation,
and as mentioned in reviews,
many praised its incredibly convenient location,
so I particularly recommend it for group travels with many people.
Also, when booking La Festa,

✔️Free admission ticket to Kiss Bridge
are provided, which means a saving of ~$24 per person.
At other hotels, you'd have to pay separately to book these tickets ㅜ

When we traveled, Agoda was also the cheapest,
so we booked through Agoda!
Honestly, at first, I booked a place with free cancellation just in case there was a better accommodation.
But after searching around more, La Festa turned out to be the best, so I finally booked it at the lowest price.

3. Twin Balcony Ocean View
The room we stayed in was a Twin Balcony Ocean View.
Being a 5-star hotel, staff guided us to our room and
kindly informed us about the fireworks schedule, pool, and breakfast location.

7:45 PM onwards ~ Water Show & Fireworks (Viewable from room O)
9:00 PM onwards ~ Kiss of the Sea Show & Fireworks
The fireworks show, happening with the water show,
is visible from La Festa's windows, so you can watch it right from your room!
This was so amazing that I'd want to come back to La Festa again if I visit Phu Quoc in the future, haha.
And with the free 'Kiss of the Sea' show tickets
provided by La Festa,
we saved ~$24 per person and enjoyed the show!
If it wasn't for La Festa, we would have lost out on ~$48 for two people ㅠㅠ.
The scale was much grander and bigger than the 7:30 PM fireworks.
The show runs from 9:30 PM to 10:00 PM, followed by fireworks from 10:00 PM! ∿!∿!
The room was also spacious, perfect for spreading out our luggage on the floor or next to the closet,
and the air conditioning was powerful, which was great for drying swimsuits.
The balcony outside felt like something straight out of an anime with its
dazzling floor-to-ceiling windows – it was absolutely gorgeous! LOL.
The beds were plush, and the table was neat, perfect for enjoying some snacks.
Being a 5-star hotel, there were absolutely
no concerns about hygiene or cleanliness.
The bathroom was also spotless, and all amenities, including toothpaste and toothbrushes,
were provided.
Finishing up with a refreshing shower and body lotion in the cool room felt absolutely wonderful! ㅎㅎㅎ
However, since this is Vietnam, I highly recommend
bringing a shower filter when you shower!
4. Breakfast

7:00 AM ~ 10:30 AM
Honestly, I chose Phu Quoc La Festa because I heard the breakfast was delicious and
well-suited to Korean tastes.
The pho here was perfectly tailored to Korean tastes, so much so that
I, who usually can't eat pho at most restaurants,
had two bowls here..
And the breakfast bread selection was so much better than other accommodations,
I was completely satisfied just having a coffee with some bread.
I feel like I've become an unintentional ambassador for their breakfast..
But seriously, it was THAT good! ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ ദ്ദി,,-`_´-)
5. Swimming Pool
- La Festa Infinity Pool -
7:00 ~ 19:00
The swimming pool is also on the same floor as the breakfast area,
and surprisingly, it wasn't too sunny, so I didn't even need sunscreen.
It was spacious with hardly anyone around, so I had a blast! ><
The water temperature wasn't too cold either,
so there was no need for any 'brrr, brrr!' moments.
There were also beautiful Southeast Asian flowers, perfect for photos,
and plenty of sunbeds available.
The infinity pool was deeper than I expected,
but the children's pool was shallow enough,
so even the little ones could play safely.

For accommodation in Phu Quoc's southern Sunset Town,
without a doubt, La Festa is the best choice.
Between the incredible views and the fact that you'll be watching the Kiss of the Sea show and
fireworks, there's no better place to stay.
