Malaysia is surprisingly well-equipped for card payments. You can use it 100% of the time in shopping malls, and it's definitely more convenient than carrying cash. Dealing with loose change is such a hassle!
I usually exchange some cash for local currency and then load the rest onto my Travel Wallet app. This way, I have the convenience of using my debit card on the ground. It's truly hassle-free, with nothing to worry about. Plus, you can link this card to Grab for automatic payments – how awesome is that?!

After making a payment, you can instantly check your transaction history and remaining balance right in the app. The app is incredibly well-designed and user-friendly!
