1. Ko Phuak Ko Dam Menu Highlights
If you're in Chiang Mai and skip Ko Phuak Ko Dam, you're truly missing out! This spot is a local institution, primarily serving breakfast and brunch, closing its doors by 2:00 PM.
While it might look a bit humble from the outside, stepping inside instantly gives you that authentic Chiang Mai vibe – it's exactly what you'd expect from a beloved local eatery!

Local regulars often go for the "boiled rice soup," but I decided to try the highly recommended sticky noodles and the famous 4-color custard dip – and I'm so glad I did!

Toast + 4-Color Custard 55 THB
Thai Tea Latte 30 THB
Sticky Noodles (Vietnamese Style) 55 THB
Boiled Rice Soup 55 THB

Seriously, you absolutely *must* order the 4-color custard. I personally preferred the soft, steamed bread to dip with it over the toast – it's just so much more tender and absorbent!
2. Inside Ko Phuak Ko Dam: The Vibe
This cafe oozes authentic Thai charm. While I've heard there can be a wait sometimes, if you arrive around 9-10 AM, you'll likely snag a table without any hassle.

With no other customers around, I took the opportunity to sit down and snap some atmospheric photos!

After a short wait, our food arrived. Wow, the 4-color custard was every bit as delicious as it looked! Each color has a distinct flavor: jasmine green tea, beet, butterfly pea, and Thai tea. I could definitely pick out the green tea, and the red was clearly beet. The others were a bit harder to distinguish, but they were all wonderfully sweet and flavorful. Dipping the soft steamed bread into these custards was an absolute delight.

The sticky noodles came with a side of blood pudding. If you're not a fan of cilantro, remember to ask them to omit it – a quick translation app will help you communicate this! The noodles themselves had a wonderfully chewy texture, and the broth was rich and savory. It's the kind of comforting dish that would be perfect after a night out.

You'll find chili oil, soy sauce, and other condiments on the tables to customize your dish. However, if hygiene is a top priority for you, you might want to consider skipping them.
