When I first visited, back when I was just starting my travel blogging journey, I had no idea you could book a table in advance from outside Taiwan. So, I just showed up.

Dealing with Kiki Restaurant's Wait Times
I arrived at 5:30 PM, without any reservations or pre-purchased tickets (I had originally planned to be there right at the second opening but ended up running a bit late). There were already 9 groups ahead of me. The problem with this kind of wait is that when they open for a new seating, the restaurant fills up immediately, meaning you have to wait for the previous diners to finish their entire meal before you even get a chance to sit down.
Then, I saw people who arrived after me simply show their phones and walk right in. That's when it clicked: advance reservations were definitely possible!
Kiki Restaurant Menu Recommendations
After about a 40-minute wait, I finally made it inside. They had a menu in English, and I opted for a set that included all their most popular dishes. Since I was dining solo, this was more than enough food, so I didn't dare order anything else.
Every single dish was absolutely delicious. If you're visiting with a group, I highly recommend ordering this set as a base and then adding a variety of other dishes to share.

My meal, as shown on the bill (Total: 1055 TWD), came out to around ~$33. Keep in mind that a 10% service charge is added to the menu prices when you pay directly at the restaurant. It seems that if you book through KKday in advance, you might avoid this extra charge.

Only the last dish is different from what I had. Booking in advance through KKday is not only potentially cheaper due to avoiding the service charge but also allows you to specify your dining time, ensuring you're seated right away without any waiting. Next time I visit Taipei, I'm definitely booking ahead (and will likely check out their new location!).
