Is Parking Available at Keunjibong Dakgalbi?
You absolutely don't need to worry about parking here!
There's a large sign by the road, so even if it's your first time,
you'll find it easily.
A dedicated parking lot is available right in front of the restaurant.
Even though we visited during peak dinner time on a weekend,
the space was generous enough for us to park comfortably.

Can You Make Reservations at Keunjibong Dakgalbi? Waiting Information
Because of its stylish interior and clean atmosphere,
it's a beloved spot for local Chuncheonites for gatherings and company dinners.
As such, for group visits,
we recommend calling ahead to make a reservation before you go.

Just so you know, we visited around 7 PM on a Sunday evening,
and thankfully, we were able to get right in and enjoy our meal without any waiting.
Even if there happens to be a wait, there are neat waiting areas set up both inside and outside the restaurant,
so you can wait comfortably.

Exterior / Interior
Keunjibong Dakgalbi is located right in front of the Soyang River,
and they've done such an amazing job with the exterior landscaping, it feels like you've stepped into a beautifully maintained large gallery cafe.

The lush greenery and beautiful surroundings make it a perfect spot for a light stroll and photos before or after your meal.

Inside, it doesn't have that typical Dakgalbi restaurant vibe at all;
instead, it boasts a sophisticated and pleasant atmosphere.

Throughout the restaurant, you'll find charming chicken-themed decorations and elegant antique furniture thoughtfully arranged,
making it fun to explore.

The restrooms are also perfectly separated for men and women and are incredibly clean.

Beyond their signature pan-fried Dakgalbi, you can also enjoy various chicken cuts like soy sauce Dakgalbi, chicken neck meat, and chicken gizzards, as well as sides like Makguksu (buckwheat noodles), Gamjajeon (potato pancake), and Memil Jeonbyeong (buckwheat crepes).

Order Details
·Dakgalbi ~$12 * 3
·Soy Sauce Dakgalbi ~$12 * 1
·Memil Jeonbyeong ~$8
·Mul Makguksu ~$7
·Fried Rice ~$3 * 2
·Udon Noodles (add-on) ~$3 * 2
·Bowl of Rice ~$1
Our Take
After we placed our order, the table was set with essential side dishes:
chilled dongchimi (radish kimchi) with refreshing ice shards floating on top, fresh ssam (wrap) vegetables, ssam-mu (pickled radish wraps),
and pickled chili and garlic.
That dongchimi, in particular, with its tangy and cooling broth, really got our appetites going before diving into the dakgalbi!

A Sweet Tip for Visiting with Kids!
While the restaurant doesn't have a specific kids' menu, they kindly provide special utensils and dishware for young children.
Best of all, they have a separate 'Soy Sauce Dakgalbi' menu, which isn't spicy and boasts a delightful sweet-savory flavor perfect for little ones.

Soon after, the golden-brown Memil Jeonbyeong (buckwheat crepes) made their grand entrance!

For ~$8, it was well worth the price –
the portion was quite generous, and the filling was incredibly hearty.
Crispy on the outside, and subtly spicy yet savory on the inside – for someone who's not great with spice, it was a perfectly pleasant kick!

Dakgalbi's perfect partner! You can't leave out Mul Makguksu (buckwheat noodles in cold broth).
They brought us vinegar, mustard, sugar, and even scissors separately, so we could customize it exactly to our taste.

It has a subtly light yet refreshing charm, and with a dash of vinegar and mustard, the umami flavor really shone,
making it a fantastic pairing with the dakgalbi!

And finally, the star of the show: the main hot plate dakgalbi!
One of the biggest advantages of Keunjibung Dakgalbi is that the incredibly kind staff expertly cooks it from start to finish,
ensuring nothing gets burnt.

This meant we could simply relax and chat while waiting – so convenient!
A generous mix of cabbage, sweet potatoes, rice cakes (tteok), and perilla leaves are all blended together.

The chicken was tender, and the seasoning wasn't just on the surface; it had deeply permeated every piece.
Place a piece of dakgalbi on a crisp, tangy ssam-mu wrap, and pop it in your mouth – oh, the pure delight!

Stir-frying the plump udon noodles with it made for such a hearty meal, and that's exactly why this place comes so highly recommended!

No matter how full you are, for Koreans, fried rice is the ultimate soul-satisfying 'dessert' and an absolute must-have, right?
And the best part? Scraping up all those deliciously crispy bits stuck to the bottom of the pan!
