< Exchanging Cash at the Airport on the Way to the Rapi:t >
If you need to exchange money at the airport in Japan,
there are several currency exchange booths at the airport,
and since they operate 24 hours,
you can exchange cash anytime.
I chose to withdraw cash from an ATM instead.
They are scattered across multiple floors, like the 1st and 2nd floor.
2nd Floor: Right across from 551 Horai Buns,
1st Floor: Near the convenience store.
I withdrew 50,000 yen from a Seven Bank ATM near the 1st-floor exchange booth, and the transaction fee was 220 yen.
Since I'm still getting the hang of traveling in Japan,
I'll make sure to bring you some pro-tips on fee-free currency exchange next time!
< How to Pre-Purchase Your E-Ticket Online >
Where to buy: Trip.com (purchase via the link below)
Make sure to verify the direction (Kansai Airport -> Namba Station) before finishing your purchase.
Remember, you must buy the Rapi:t ticket at least one day in advance to use it.
I searched around other booking sites,
but Trip.com was definitely the cheapest.
When you first land in Japan, you'll have heavy bags, search for directions,
and navigate a language barrier—it can get super overwhelming!
That's why I played it safe and bought mine
two days before boarding.
Book in advance

< How to Reserve Your Seats on the Rapi:t >
Seat Reservation Search
Please double- and triple-check your boarding date, departure time,
and boarding/alighting stations!
As for the departure time, I recommend giving yourself
a buffer of about an hour after landing!
Also, if you try to book your seats the day before, options will be super limited,
so I highly recommend booking 2 to 3 days in advance!
My friend and I preferred to take it easy rather than stress about missing the train,
so we booked the 11:35 AM slot.
Since our flight landed early and we had plenty of time after currency exchange and grabbing buns,
on the NANKAI link we...
I changed my booking to the 11:05 AM train in advance!

<Where to Catch the Rapi:t Train>
After exchanging money and grabbing some 551 Horai dumplings to go,
I headed over to catch the train around 10:30 AM.
Walk out through Gate E on the 2nd floor, as shown in the photo below,
and just head straight.

The ticket office is right across from the ticket gates.
If you look at the second photo below,
it shows the way to the train platform in the direction of the arrow.
Make sure to use the specific ticket gate where you can scan QR codes!
Just head down to Platforms 1 and 2, which are marked for Namba Station.
Make sure to have your pre-paid E-ticket QR code ready!
Don't worry, there's clear multilingual signage (including English)!
Just double-check the direction before you board, and you're good to go!

<Nankai Rapi:t Train Review>
From Kansai Airport to Namba Station,
it is the fastest and most budget-friendly way to travel.
Plus, you can change your train time up to 2 times, as late as 5 minutes before departure!
My flight landed earlier than expected,
and since I had plenty of time, I changed my train time once.
Having a reserved seat meant I didn't have to worry about finding a spot at all.
And since eating is allowed on board, I happily munched on my 551 Horai dumplings along the way! Yum!
The only minor downside?
You have to scan your QR code at the gates when boarding and exiting,
so make sure to have your code pulled up in advance!
But the huge perks are that Trip.com offers the best price,
and you don't even have to exchange physical tickets!
I'm definitely using this service again on my next trip.
As expected, the scenery in Japan is absolutely beautiful! :)
The ride was so comfortable and relaxing!

<Arriving at Namba Station>
Once I arrived at Namba Station, I wanted to drop off my luggage at the accommodation,
so I headed out towards Namba Parks! If you're going this way,
just head to the left in the photo shown.
If you're feeling hungry,
grabbing lunch at Namba Parks is a great option!
