Jungheung Gold Spa & Resort is a massive leisure complex

featuring a golf course, water park, private pensions, and condos—

making it one of the largest resorts in the Jeonnam region!

If you look at this resort map from their official website, on the far left

you'll find the main condo buildings and the water park,

while the private pension villas are nestled separately on the right.

Most travelers who book a stay at Jungheung Gold Resort

usually end up staying in these main condo units.

But thanks to a friend who owns a membership for the private pension villas,

I got lucky enough to stay in one of the exclusive pension buildings instead!

I believe you can also find and book these

on Airbnb as well.

The interior of the pension has a classic,

high-end aesthetic with vintage charm.

That said, you can definitely feel its age in some areas.

It's fully equipped with a gas stove and kitchenware,

so you can easily cook your own meals!

There's a cozy bedroom with a classic bed,

and since there's an extra room besides the living room, there's plenty of space

for two or three families to vacation together comfortably.

And yes, you can enjoy a private spa right inside the villa!

Not only can you soak in the tub while admiring

the gorgeous backdrop of Lake Naju,

but you can also sweat it out in the private in-room sauna—

which makes it an absolutely perfect spot

to bring your parents for a relaxing getaway.

The view of Lake Naju from the living room or kitchen

is beautiful during the day, but...

just watching the golden sunset paint the sky...

is pure, unadulterated healing.

On summer nights, the resort courtyard transforms

into a lively outdoor dining and beer zone.

A few years ago, they even hosted occasional performances,

circus acts, and magic shows here.

I'm not quite sure if they still run them now, though.

The water park here has both indoor and outdoor zones.

If you're worried about getting sunburned or traveling with little ones,

the indoor area alone is packed with plenty of fun!

There's a fantastic variety of water slides and wave pools too...

You can have an absolute blast here.

it's a place that kids

will absolutely fall in love with.

Right next to the pension building,

there's a spot called Poseidon Water Sports where you can enjoy thrilling water activities.

I highly recommend this spot

to make some unforgettable, action-packed summer memories with your kids.

Looking back, it was such a special summer getaway.

From watching the breathtaking sunset over Naju Lake with the kids

every moment became a cherished memory.
