Hello, Global Explorers! I'm Noryum, your go-to influencer for all things Vietnam.
Having explored over 40 resorts in Phu Quoc,
there's one resort I've stayed at more than three times!
That's right, it's the 'InterContinental Long Beach Phu Quoc'.
While new 5-star resorts continue to emerge in Phu Quoc every year,
this place holds a special charm that makes me want to return again and again,
no matter how much time passes.

It's conveniently located on Long Beach in the central part of the island, close to the airport,
making it easy to travel to both the north and south of Phu Quoc.
From its spacious and luxurious rooms to the swimming pools, kids' facilities, breakfast, and
INK 360 where you can fully enjoy the Phu Quoc sunset, the resort's overall design and offerings are truly exceptional.

Today, based on my personal experience of staying here multiple times,
I'll delve into everything from the InterContinental's room types and pools,
to its breakfast and facilities, breaking it down in detail, one by one!

The InterContinental Phu Quoc
is a 5-star IHG Group resort located on the central Long Beach.
Of the many times I've stayed here,
one of the aspects I was most satisfied with was its location.

It's approximately 12km from Phu Quoc International Airport,
meaning it's just about 10-15 minutes by car,
making airport accessibility incredibly convenient.
Located roughly in the middle of the northern Grand World and Vinpearl area
and the southern Sunset Town,
it's an ideal base for exploring the entire island of Phu Quoc, rather than just staying in one area.
This excellent location is definitely a big plus for any itinerary.

The resort is quite large!
InterContinental Phu Quoc isn't just
a hotel with a lot of rooms;
it's a grand, integrated resort that offers everything from
hotel rooms, suites, residences, to beachfront villas.

The facilities are impressive too!
They operate two main outdoor pools for adults,
two pools with water slides for children,
and even an exclusive pool for club guests.

You can also enjoy the HARNN Heritage Spa, fitness center,
kids' programs, bicycle rentals, and more.
So, this isn't just a place to sleep near the airport;
it's more like a Phu Quoc 'hotel-cation' resort with a great location, where you can play all day long without ever leaving!
Among the more than 40 accommodations I've visited in Phu Quoc,
the reason I've returned to this one more than three times is precisely because of this perfect balance.
2. Room Types
Classic Rooms vs. Residence Rooms

InterContinental Phu Quoc offers
a truly diverse range of room options.
Broadly, you can divide them into hotel-style Classic Rooms
and Residence Rooms, which come with kitchen and laundry facilities.
Based on my experience staying in both,
it's not simply a matter of room size, but rather
the choice really depends on your personal travel style.

Classic Rooms
Classic Rooms are where you can truly experience
the sophisticated, luxurious hotel ambiance characteristic of InterContinental!
They are divided into Garden View, Resort View, and Ocean View, but
my top recommendation is the Classic Ocean View!

At approximately 49㎡, it's quite spacious for a standard room,
and offers ample space for two adults and one child.

The room isn't just about the bed;
it also comes with a sofa, table, and even separate storage space.
What I particularly loved was the dedicated space to fully open your suitcase,
which kept the room tidy during my 2-3 night consecutive stays.

And my absolute favorite feature in the Classic Room is
the bathroom with a panoramic window overlooking the main pool and the ocean!
Taking a half-bath in the tub truly feels like the ultimate hotel vacation.

Residence Rooms
Conversely, if you're traveling with children or staying for three nights or more,
the **Residence Rooms** are much more practical.

They are divided into 1, 2, and 3-bedroom types,
and unlike standard hotel rooms, they feature a **fully equipped kitchen**
and a **washing machine.**

They basically come equipped with a large refrigerator, microwave, oven, induction cooktop,
dishwasher, coffee machine, pots and cooking utensils, dishes, and more,
providing everything you need to stay almost like home!

Especially if you're preparing baby food,
or on a family trip where there's a lot of laundry after water activities,
just having a washing machine makes a huge difference in perceived convenience.

3. Pools & Long Beach

While the rooms at InterContinental Phu Quoc are fantastic,
it's also **renowned for its swimming pools and Long Beach.**
The resort features a main pool in the center,
and a separate kids' pool on the side,
making it perfect for everything from romantic couple getaways to family vacations.

Main Pool
The main pool is divided into **two sections: one facing the beach and one facing the resort,**
giving it a wonderfully expansive feel!

Even when I visited during peak season,
there were plenty of sunbeds, so I didn't experience any major inconvenience,
and with **Sea Shack and Ombra restaurants** right next to the pool,
it was perfect for grabbing a quick bite while swimming.

Kids' Pool
The kids' pool is located right next to the Kids' Club,
and there's also a shallow **water playground of about 30cm (12 inches)** deep,
making it perfect for visiting with young children.

Long Beach & Sunset
Another advantage is that the pool leads directly to Long Beach!
As it's on the west coast of Phu Quoc,
the sunset at dusk is absolutely stunning,
**Pool → Beach Walk → Sunset Viewing**
I highly recommend trying out their set courses.

You can also rent resort bicycles from the Kids Club area,
but when I visited, there was a rule to return them within 1 hour.
Since the resort grounds are quite spacious,
I also highly recommend taking a bike ride around the resort when the weather is lovely!
4. Kids' Facilities

One of the reasons why InterContinental Phu Quoc
remains consistently popular as a family travel destination is
precisely its incredible kids' facilities.
It's not just a single Kids Club;
it's equipped with a Kids Club + Game Room + even a Movie Theater,
making it absolutely perfect for spending an entire day with your children right within the resort!

Kids Club
Located right next to the kids' pool, it offers convenient access,
and the indoor space is wonderfully spacious.
They also offer a wide variety of engaging activity programs
for kids to participate in,
and as I mentioned before, you can even rent bicycles right outside!

Game Room & Movie Theater
The game room is equipped with PlayStations, board games, and pool tables,
making it a fantastic spot for even older kids to have a blast.
There's even a separate movie theater, perfect for those rainy days or
for some relaxing downtime after a fun swim.
5. Breakfast & Sea Shack & INK360

The InterContinental Phu Quoc is fantastic because
you can find all your dining and ambiance needs right within the resort.
From breakfast to beachside restaurants,
and a rooftop bar, each spot boasts a unique vibe,
so if you're staying for two nights or more, you'll love the experience of trying them all!

Breakfast
Operating Hours: 6:30 AM - 10:30 AM
Breakfast is served at two locations: Sora & Umi in the resort's main building, and
the beachfront Sea Shack.
Having tried both, I can confirm these distinct differences:

Sora & Umi offers a much wider variety of dishes, but
during peak breakfast hours in high season,
it can get quite crowded, sometimes even requiring a wait.

While Sea Shack has a relatively smaller menu,
its biggest draw is the chance to enjoy a leisurely breakfast with stunning ocean views.

INK 360
And one place you absolutely must visit at InterContinental is
the incredible 19th-floor rooftop bar, INK 360.

From this elevated spot, you'll get breathtaking panoramic views of the Phu Quoc sea and its stunning sunsets.
And when night falls, the ocean transforms with the mesmerizing lights of the squid fishing boats,
creating an entirely different, magical ambiance!

With its focus on exquisite cocktails and premium spirits,
I personally recommend it as the perfect spot for a second round after dinner!
Imagine this: Breakfast → Sea Shack dinner → then INK 360 for a breathtaking sunset or dazzling night view.
You won't even need to step outside the resort,
and your entire day will be wonderfully fulfilling!
